I'm gonna agree with mainer here.Freshwater fish just aren't all that great. Now maybe a 10 lb tog or nice striper.Now we are talking.Also their is too much mercury in the water around here not to mention the 470,000 oil spill in the delaware river,talk about heart ache!

Going out and buying them in like 10 mins.My buddy was using them all summer,and finally convinced me.They help alot in heavy cover.

Better yet throw them on a lake with a zebco push button and like three lures. Spinnerbait.worm, crank.

I'm gonna work on my spin casting.I've been using my baitcasters non stop and I notice when it is time to throw some finesse with accuracy I'm a bit rusty.Also I wanna fish the drop shot alot more.

Well now that my season is slowing down,all i got left is memories. Anyway does this happen to everyone else or what.The night before a big fishing trip you just can't seem to get to sleep.

I have A small Pond problay about 3 acres.Crystal clear water,with Humps and reeds for ambush points. I fish from My belly Boat,which is super relaxing. This pond has some monster pickereal,Perch,blue gill,and plenty of 5-6 Pound bass in it that I know of. I never get the skunk their under any conditions,and could problay fish it blind.I forgot to add the avg depth is 6 feet-13 being the deepest. Also thier is eels and fresh water clams in it.

Now that you mention it yes!It seems everytime I watch Bill Dance what ever lure he was using ,I usually buy it. Or what about Jimmy Houston and spinnerbaits,or Roland Martin and Senkos.

I learned how to read cover alittle better. By reading cover I mean seeing where a tree actually lays in the water at it's furtherest point, reading points and how the wind effects areas of lakes. I learned alot of this stuff fishing out my tube. At first it was a little akward because you can't cover water soon as you get their like in a boat,you just kinda go with what is front of you. I guess I learned patience if anything this year.

I've been throwing a 1/2 oz white /chartruese terminator with a Manns 4 1/2 size willow leaf. I usually cut the skirt down add a zoom split trailer and spray yum craw on it to give it that red tint. I usually burn it or slow roll it on banks where the water tends to be deeper.

Are you backlash from hook-one.If so what happened to your club. I was thinking about joining and then it seemed very unorganized. No big deal.Anways i agree with your statement,having what I call awanna be bass boat. You know the old cooler for livewell. Uusally I got my 6'6" st.croix heavy action acompanied by a curado and 8/30 braid rigged with a 1/4 oz-1/2 oz black/blue terminator w/ yum craw trailer 3.5" also black/blue with yum craw spray. If that doesn't do it their is no fish their.

I use yum craw! I like it on spinnerbaits as well.If you spray it on a white spinnerbait it looks like it's bleeding.

I do this as well only thing is soon as I head out with it everything winds up all over the place.This I need to work on.

I know their is only a hand full of members right now so let's get this forum up and moving again.First topic is where is everyone from?I'm From South Jersey.I live near many small lakes,too small for boats with gas motors(most of them anyhow.)Our biggets lake around here is 836 acres,has some smallies and all that other good stuff.I spend my winters/late fall chasing striper and tog up and down the south Jersey coast. I'll stop now before this turns into a novel.

I usually keep busy all year round.I live in Southern new jersey,so our lakes do freeze but the ocean doesn't. As far pitching goes If my basement ceiling was high enough,I problay could manage some practice,but If that rod is in my hands you better beleive I'm going for the real deal.

Been there last year and will be there again this year.Like rabbits around these parts.been married one year and the wifes been pregnant the whole time.Trust me you will find time to get out of the house.lol!
