I've been reading stories lately of people using kayaks. That might be an option if you don't mind bringing minimal tackle.

My Dad. It was about the only thing we did together. His version of fishing though was sitting in the same spot on the bank all day waiting for fish to come along and bite. I quickly outgrew that and started fishing with lures with my buddies.

I think there should be an open forum for non bass related topics.

Maybe a wetsuit bootie? Once it gets wet, the layer of water between the bootie and your foot heats up and keeps you warm.
