Why do we still see vertical holds with large fish?
Okay, simple as this...... Trying to hold a big fish horizontal by the lip causes harm: Holding a big fish vertical by the lip does no harm:

Releasing Fish Post-Tournament
A couple of questions here concerning the release of bass after a tournament..... 1) When spawning female fish are caught and released after weigh-in in a completely new location, does it not have an impact on the spawning process by taking them away from their beds? Do they find new areas to bed? Somehow miraculously make it back to the bed they were on? What? 2) Does FLW or BASS release all of their fish in the same location at the same time? As big as these tournaments are, it seems like the releasing location would be a prime spot to catch a huge mess of fish for weeks following the tournament. If so, are these locations disclosed to the public? Thanks

Flipping the Jungle- Tips for rigging?
Explanation please? I've never heard of rigging plastics backwards. What benefit does this give you? Hunter, I am not trying to answer for Derek but I have heard of this before but don't necessarily condone to the theory...if that's what you call it. In my experience, anything that impedes the bait from slipping thru the grass is a negative, therefore an excellent flipping puncher has to be designed purposely to not only make it thru the trash as easily as possible but also have some attractive fall or action once thru. This is the reason for a more slender body and compact style of the favorite designs. Also a slim body with small side appendages that will fold back easily during the punch will add to the received action once it's thru. I think those who subscribe to the backwards rigging way of thinking are actually trying to get some type of action on a bait that otherwise has no action.....and that might work in more open water conditions. But I would rather have a bait that can be equally effective in both....Just my Opinion Big O Thank you Big 0. That explains it!

"Will knots" how do you handle them...do they affect your fishing???
I don't know if they affect fishing success or not, but i always just cut (or bite, depending on the line) them off. I can't stand it when i'm fishing with a buddy and he's tying on a bait that already has 2 or 3 old knots hanging from the O-ring.
