I've caught an old rod/reel and minnow bucket while catfishing but my favorite was the bikini top I caught at the beach off the pier. I reeled it in and first thing we did was start looking all over for the girl it belonged to, it was senior week so we were hoping she was out there somewhere.

Like said, don't waste your time. I heard great things so I bought one, didn't even get a look, so now it sits in the tackle box taking up precious space. Storm makes something similar that I've had sucess with, try that first.

I use the Norman Speed Clips. They work great, as long as you remove the original split ring. I only use snap swivels on my wife's rod since she doesn't go out often and likes to change lures quite often.

I love whenever a big 'ol bass picks up a soft plastic and just starts to swim away. It adds to the element of surprise to me, the big girl doesn't even know whats about to happen to her.

When I used to work at a sock mill we used those little blue plastic loop pieces used for dental floss to thread the thread through the needles. They always worked great for that and I can't see why they wouldn't work for hook eyes also.

I kiss the first one of each year and have been since I started because it's good luck and tradition now. Also I'll kiss the hefty girls after I've been drinking, you know with the beer goggles and all.

A guy I worked with used an old heavy duty drop cord, one of the orange ones, and just hooked black to black and white to red and left the ground wire as is. As far as I know it worked great, he said he had been running it that way for a few years.

Who would have thought a buch of fishermen, or liars as we're known, would be right about this? Sounds like we're not the only ones telling tales.

When I fish for bream I also use an ultralight spinning rod with 6 lb test line. I use a long shank hook and hook a cricket under the collar with no weight or cork. I have noticed that I have caught my biggest bream with nothing but a hook and they seem to hit it on the fall. I throw out and let it fall to the bottom and if nothing hits it after a few seconds I real in a little while lifting the rod, to get the cricket back to the top, and let it fall again. I have used a medium action spinning rod, back before I got an ultralight, but an ultralight will get the cricket out a lot further when there's no weight.

Thanks no1 for letting me know about the link. I fixed it and also noticed that I had put 1648 instead of 1636, which is the true size. But as far as the livewell goes, it was in the boat when my dad got it in the early to mid 90's. The livewell had been put in by the previous owner and isn't really the best size. I won't use it for bass, since I catch and release and it isn't big enough to hold anything worth keeping, but will probably use it for bream when cattin, maybe some minnows, a few crappie I might want to keep, but mostly as a built in cooler with it's own drain. Both seats are full of foam, except for where the livewell is, but I was thinking of putting some closed cell foam under the floor for some insurance. But I understand where you're coming from and appreciate you looking out for me.

I've also been using them pretty much since they came out, and I to have also noticed that most of my soft plastic are Strike King. I have seen these produce when other soft plastics, or any other lures to be exact, wouldn't on a small farm pond I fish.

Yea no1 he's alive and well and just recently quit smoking, which is a plus. I was kind of wondering the same thing about him been right and was thinking of asking him this weekend when we bring the boys to see him, that's if he'll give me a chance to ask him while he's playing with his grandsons.

There's a pond that I fish, that I have my PB in and also learned how to fish i when I was young with my Pop, that had watrmeal up to a month or so ago when the owner had some chemicals put in. Anyhow, I had done soe research on watermeal and come up with a few thigs. When a pond has watermeal it has it all year long, even in the winter it just sinks because of lack of light to create oxygen. Not saying you're wrong, but just because it went over the spillway doesn't mean you have gotten rid of it. Some watermeal could still be on the bottom and just hasn't been released yet. As far as the other problems I don't know much about them, but in order to get rid of watermeal with aeration you should put the system in the deepest part of pond. Sorry I couldn't help with the other problems but like I said, I only did research on watermeal and that was because it had become a major problem. I mean you couldn't even pull a buzzbait or topwater prop bait in it without the blades getting jammed up. I hope this helps you at all I know how annoying junk like that is to fish in.

I recently got a 1636 flat bottom jon boat from my dad and have a question about weight distribution. I'm wondering where I should my fuel tank and battery. My ad used to put the battery in front of the middle bench and the fuel tank in front the back bench but I would like to free up some floor space. I was thinking about putting them in the back behind the back bench but I'm worried that they will cause too much weight in the back along with an outboard and me, about 210 lbs., when steering. The battery is a deep cycle battery, the fuel tank is 6 gallons,the out board is a '68 20Hp Johnson. If yall think it will be too much weight then where would yall put them?
