  1. Not true. More than likely you will be able to catch that fish on a worm even if they are heavily feeding on little minnows.
  2. My favorite time to fish during the year is Fall, but I perfer to go out in early to middle October. My favorite time to go out is the morning time because there is usually going to be a good topwater bite going on that time in my neck of the woods.
  3. Pretty sweet lookin' truck. I'm likin' the rims.
  4. I wish my local Dick's carried Lucky Craft lures. :'(
  5. Yes the bait in the pots will eventually attract fish, but the crabs usually get there first.
  6. What this guy said. They are all over the Intracostal waterway at Topsail Island (my local beach).
  7. I voted half-half. One part of me says that if they were out there we would have found them already, but another part of me says what Dave said about the Universe simply being to big for them not to be there.
  8. I would probably hit up the Virgin Islands for some big game fishing, or I might just go off the coast of NC to the gulf stream for anything that bites.
  9. Yeah man I would be worried if I were a LSU fan. We were that close to winning after being down 30 to 10 in late in the third.
  10. UNC GO HEELS GO!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I am a die hard UNC fan and I still thought this video was amazing!!! http://www.statefansnation.com/index.php/archives/2010/09/01/1-unc-fan-hitler-finds-out-about-the-scandals/ You have to be somewhat familiar with the review and you have to know a little bit about UNC football but you guys should still be able to get it.
  12. Those are the best crankbaits ever made, you will catch TONS of fish on them. I have like five of them. To bad they are so expensive. Blue Streak sorry for your loss Josh, I'm with everybody else look on eBay.
  13. Man this a tough one. I really like Lucky Craft and Zoom W.E.C crankbaits, but the only bad thing is that they are really expensive so I don't have many of them. Also, the Spro Little John series is quickly climbing the list.
  14. Nope everything is fine!!! I know what its like to have a bent prop (stainless steel BTW) and a bent shaft. Me and my dad were running down the lake doing about 30 mph and we hit a chimney of a house that was barely underwater. Caused $1,500 in damage, thankfully we have insurance!!!!
  15. Nice!!!!! That is a very good looking boat!!!!!
  16. Man this is a tough one. I voted for Gran Torino just because I don't like the way No Country For Old Men ended. Also what kind of name is No Country For Old Men?
  17. If you just look at its face it really looks like a badass.
  18. Nope my answer doesn't change one bit. 8-)
  19. The Ol' Monster has got to be the best ten inch worm on the market. Use Okeechobee Craw color and nothing will keep the bass off this worm. I will say this about the Ultra-Vibe worm though, I have had trouble getting the tail to spin consistently.
  20. Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! I would throw buzzbaits in there all day long, thats the perfect spot for them. Go with a black Lunker Lure buzzbait with a silver blade. You said it was big rice field so I would go with a 3/8 oz. or even 1/2 oz. to get longer cast and cover water quickly.
  21. My personal favorite is one that you have already used. Its a popper in shad color. If that is not working though I will usually go with a Sammy or a shad colored Fluke.
  22. That thing must have swallowed a head!!!! Its definitely a seven if not more. WTG!!!!!
  23. I voted for Alabama just because all of the people they have coming back. I sure do hope the Tar Heels do good this season though.
  24. Forgot to mention when you are fishing for Flounder they are going to be really shallow, like in the suds where the waves have broken.
  25. Man I *** you!!! I have lived my entire life in NC and I have never fished off Hatteras for bull Reds or Stripers. I have fished south of it though near the middle core banks, in fact I just got back a few weeks ago and caught some big Reds. Now on to the advice. If you are going for the frying pan size fish like spots, mullets and croakers nothing is better for those than a bottom rig with shrimp. Just make sure your shrimp is fresh though. For Flounder I would go with mullet minnows on a Carolina rig with a 1 oz. round lead weight and a 3/0 circle hook. I like to nose hook my minnows but you can tail hook 'em if you want to. Now for the Redfish use small blue crabs on big circle hook and heavy Carolina rig like 2 to 3 maybe even 4 oz. depending on how bad the seas are. I hate fishing for sharks so no advice there. If you can't find mullet minnows or blue crabs you can use cutbait from the spots and mullet you catch should sufice to get you a few good bites. Now just throw those out there and hold on. Hope you have fun man!!!!
