  1. That the Detroit Tiger pitcher missed a perfect game in one of the worst calls in sport history!!! I don't even watch baseball and that ticked me off.
  2. Nice fish!!! Hope you catch many more like it.
  3. Put down another vote for Rapala.
  4. Alton Jones said something about this on Classic Patterns while he was fishing Sugar lake in Mexico with deep diving crankbaits. I will try to remember it the best I can so what he said I can tell it to you. He said that he likes to drop the bouy on the high spot and fish around it, and when he gets bit he will use the bouy as a reference point so he can make the exact same cast as before.
  5. It's a tie between weightless Trickworms that are Texas rigged or a Lucky Craft G-Splash.
  6. Shearon Harris Lake (grassy lake): Secondary and main lake points with a lipless crankbait. Also a shakey head or dropshot with Roboworms thrown to the grasslines in 5 to 10 feet of water. You also cannot forget the topwater bite!! Lucky Craft G-Splash!!! fished around the grasslines as well. Jordan Lake: Buzzbait and the G-Splash in the morning around rip rap. Then as the day goes on switch to DT-10s on the corners of the rip rap and C-rigs on main lake points and other structure and cover.
  7. I am with everybody else. Do it on catch & release.
  8. Nice!!! I am surprised you got that close to it.
  9. In a tournament, I think its a gamble more than other techniques because usually you are going to lose more fish than you will other techniques. But then again it may be the only thing the fish will bite so you will have to deal with it.

I think the Rage Tail Toad will do you best for most circumstances, but it can be too loud.
  11. Pitching it to laydowns and docks with a 1/4 oz. weight and 8 lb. flourocarbon has been most productive for me.
  12. Yeah I just got done reading this on Bassmaster. They said they were pirates with AK-47s and AR-15s, either way people need to be very careful down there.
  13. It used to be Texas-rigged but after this spring I like it weightless with a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hook.
  14. This is what you need to do if you want to make that "bloop" sound consistently no matter what brand you use.
  15. 8 lb. Berkley Trilene 100% Flourocarbon.
  16. I love fishing in the rain, because I think the fish bite better in the rain. My favorite lures to throw are topwaters.
  17. That scared the mess outta him and me!!
  18. I use 8 or 10 lb. fluorocarbon for all of my finesse techniques.
  19. That water is pretty clear compared to the lakes around me and I like the looks of all that grass. If it were me I would probably be throwing a jerkbait and maybe a squarebill over top of that grass. Good luck, I hope you catch some.
  20. X2 on everything. The hook on the Lunker Lure is amazingly sharp.
  21. 1/0 is the perfect size, but I think you could slip by with a 2/0.
  22. Fishing docks with a shakey head on spinning tackle.

I use a Powell Spook and Trap rod. The action on this rod is perfect for throwing rattlebaits. My reel is a Quantum (not sure of the exact name of it, but it is one of the PT versions) in 7.1:1 gear ratio. For line I use Berkley Trilene Flourocarbon in 15 or 17 lb. test.
  24. My 7'6" Carrot Stix is nice for flipping, but I perfer something around the 7' range for pitching.
