Fishing Trip
No matter what pond in the world you go to bass will eat worms! Make sure you bring a trick worm or senko I've had bass turn down jigs where no craw are in the ponds, same with cranks/jerks...but never had an issue with a fish turning down a worm. A spinnerbait is always good to! edit: Better advice than mine: "I would suggest you stock your tackle box with a vareity of things but you don't need to overdo it. Cover your water column, Topwater poppers or frogs, spinner baits, jigs, soft plastics (worm/craws) and a couple of cranks to cover different depths. Ask your friend about the water clarity to help choose your colors. You should be ready for anything."

Light Flouro Knot
San Diego Jam, whether it was the knot or I could just tie this one better than the rest, changed the game for me. I had 0 break offs with it last season compared to a handful with a palomar make sure your drag is set so if you are like me and get excited and set the hook too hard your knot doesn't take the full impact..that helped me to

Chronarch 200E Or Curado 200E?
The chronarch is a step up from the curado I believe. I have a curado E and can vouch for it being a solid reel (i flip/pitch with it). The new line of them (curado G) was down graded a bit and feels more like the citica E while the Chronarch G feels like the Curado E. Anyways I would get the curado E or a chronarch G (similar) if that is your price range. If you can get the chronarch E thats pretty awesome. I have always fished shimano but am looking to upgrade my cheaper/older shimano cruxis with an abu garcia winch on my crankbait rod.....just to confuse you more by throwing in another option hahahahah

Does Anyone Remember The Old Hook Worm?
I had hookworm once but thats a whole different story.... 70's was pretty early for a soft plastic worm, when did Creme come out with their original worm?? My first bass came on a minnow fishing with my grandpa

Zoom Small Salty Chunks
Zoom super chunk jr is a great trailer It will fit on your jigs no problem and will catch fish no problem. I will use them year round with success. i use them up to 1/2 oz jigs, i trim the skirt for a smaller profile jig i use other jig trailers to but these work just fine

Casting Reel Help... Braid/mono
I fish with a couple citicas, one with braid one with flouro. Try starting with this before tweaking it yourself... Put 1/2 the brakes on (the plastic caps inside the side plate, 1/2 of em in, 1/2 of em out.) This will shorten your casts but slow the spool down a bit for ya. Then put the spool the spool tension nob (by the drag star) to a level that allows the lure to free fall if you drop it but doesn't let the spool spin when it hits the water. Like I said, this will shorten your casting distance but it will help. Tweak it from there to your preference
