Hook Up Trouble With Flukes?
Try nose hooking the fluke with a owner wide gap finesse hook (I normally use them for wacky senkos) if it is weightless it will still remain fairly weedless

Need A New Worm Rod. What Should I Get?
I fish them on 7'0" MH fast rod, but I feel like you could step it up to 7'6" for sure. I fish a Daiwa Procyon (a relatively cheap rod that has been a work horse for me). It works for me, but I'd trade it for a Dobyns if I could haha
-
Tungsten?
I use them as well as Pb. I like how tungsten is smaller, I can visualize a bass looking more at the craw then the sinker with the smaller tungsten...just seems more subtle

Trokar 7/0 Flippin Hooks
I wouldnt waste them, I just wouldn't use em for flipping I use a 4/0 or 5/0 for flipping (some 5/0 aren't as big as others) But I would use them big 7/0s for a 10" worm tho, I like straight shank hooks for worms, and on longer line that is a mono or flouro (typical worm lines) you will get less of a blown out whole compared to short line hookset with braid

-
What Is Your Favorite Technique For Smallmouth?
I like throwing a crankbait over a deep rock pile and feeling that head shake spinner baits are awesome to then probably a wacky senko as it just down right catches em

What Lures Work Best In The Rain?
Spinnerbait or crank for me in those situations...more b/c its dark/cloudy when its raining, and often a bit of chop on the water

How Many Different Color Worms Do You Keep On The Boat?
one realistic (ie watermelon or green pumpkin) one dark (junebug, red shad etc) If I can get it in bama bug, I just fish that all the time That's how I try to keep the $$ down
-
How Often And When Do You Use Firetiger Crankbaits
I agree with "flippin and pitching" I fish them all the time for smallies....I do well with them or a sexy shad type color on smallies Dark/dirty water/cloudy day type conditions for largies
-
Cranking Rod
I use a 7'0 MH David Fritts American Rodsmith rod for all my cranking It's not "ideal" to have one I know, but it is for me b/c I need an all purpose cranking rod that does it all. It keeps my numbers of rods down on another guy's boat and when I fish smallies deeper it works just fine as well as the grass shallow for largies I guess it is an option as it do-it-all tool

Best Braid
Tuf Line is a good alternative to Power Pro...I find it very similar I use both
-
Foam Grip Rods
My dad's 20 year old ugly stick is still going strong, doesn't smell either! haha

Yo-Zuri Hybrid?
Just go straight braid then if you are happy with it. You can always add a leader if you ever want to. Sell your yo-zuri on ebay. Problem solved haha. I feel ya tho, I've definitely spent money on fishing gear that go thrown in "the box" in my basement.

High Gear Ratio For Crankbait Rods?
I just recently bought the winch...its a pretty awesome reel. I noticed there are some differences in how many inches per turn there is for a 5.4:1 gear ratio. I think the Winch is about 20" per turn?? Anyways it works great for me. Super smooth, great drag. I'm hyper, the 5.4 helps me slow down a bit, but the power of the winch is great
-
Yo-Zuri Hybrid?
I agree with Darren... I broke off a couple times at the beginning when I was snap setting my hook sets. Once I got off the roids and did an appropriate hook set I had no issues and love the set up
-
Yo-Zuri Hybrid?
road warrior believes it is user error by the sound of his post I fish straight braid for largies in stained or dirtier water so maybe you can skip the leader braid will get rid of all your line headaches tho....but I know guys that go straight mono/FC with no complaints either

-
Yo-Zuri Hybrid?
sounds like it just aint for you if you are sick of memory issue, try braid with a yo-zuri leader (you have lot of leader material with 800 yards haha)

Tubes And Algee
I know its not the answer you were looking for but I know a lot of guys weapon number 2 on erie is a drop shot....it would drag the weight thru the algae still but your bait would be out of it....maybe time to switch the tool for the job??? I'm not sure how else dude sorry
