  1. lol.... I DIDNT SAY IT WAS NECESSARY...ha ha, but fun it is. They were saying thats the best part of fishing...NOT HARDLY...the best part of fishing is having a nice small mouth about rip the rod out of your hand. I was just stating an opinion on the boating aspect.
  2. Besides catching bugs in your teeth, how many bass have you caught at 75 mph? WRB I have caught all sorts of bass... What kind of question is that. You are in a tournament.....you want to get to the best spot....you run down the lake and get there...then you fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Night fishing for Bass is almost as much fun as fishing during the day, esp tournaments. I dont know where you are fishing at, but around here I like black/red, black/blue, black/purple, or any combination of those, spinner baits with those huge Colorado blades. Any kind of craw in black/blue does good, if you Texas rig them. And if you want to use a worm try a cherryseed finesse worm or a black trick worm. But, hey you can still use those cranks at night too, they do work!
  4. If the bite is tough you should try a finesse worm on a shakey head....that will catch fish in almost any condition. Even KVD uses this with some of his 'perfect plastics'.
  5. This is funny.... hearing a bunch of guys talk about skin care!!!! Good luck with that.
  6. well, i do agree...hearing the boat is the best part. The Triton we fish out of is amazing, but, ZOOMING down the lake at 75 miles per hour sometimes gets a little nerve racking for me..ha ha
  7. sounds like you had an awesome day with the girl...... Happy (LATE) Mothers Day!!!! Im not a mom but I did get to go out with the family (just to a local pond) for awhile Sunday too, after I grilled out for my mom, i beat everyone so i was happy.....my older brother was not too happy though. but back to you, you'll have your hands full when she gets a little older because most all guys love a girl who can fish......you'll be fightn them off..ha ha
  8. ha ha...thank you. i have been on here awhile now....just havent saw me i guess. lol. i have actually made some really close friends from here who i talk to on a daily basis.... i like this place
  9. yeah i know where some brush piles are underwater....and some rock walls to fish. we fish there all the time but, not this full. i caught a 5 lb small mouth there...=) not too long ago. it was nice. thats when the water was down and all those rock by the girl scout camp were out of the water. everyone says its the 'dead sea' but, i have always had a little luck there. maybe because it is the closest to us, but i guess you know that.
  10. Hey! I am fishing a tournament this weekend at South Holston, with the rainfall we have had and the water levels now I feel like I might be lost this weekend. Anybody been fishing there lately???? I will not get a chance to pre-fish because of games this week...any advice?
  11. Thank you.... He is a really nice guy too.... He has to be my favorite male....Kim Bain Moore would go on the top of the female anglers. I have talked to her alot.
  12. no really... ive not been to one of these things, and i am kinda new here. i dont know anyone...???
  13. who are the guys on the boat that is throughout the whole video??? just curious...lol
  14. ha ha... I DONT KNOW.... thats why I asked you. You said you were located close to me ? but i can never see your web page, so i dont know...
  15. oh gosh.... not me? i dont miss it. me, my mom, dad, and brother all worked in it...but, i still see them all almost every day so...=) its better just getting together for a cookout or something rather than to hoe tobacco...lol. i still love the outdoors though, i think i did take that away from the tobacco experience...now i have flowers every where that i can take care of....strawberries, tame raspberries, apples, grapes...all of the wonderful things you have to work at but isnt a year round job!!! where exactly are you from.... we arent too far awayfrom one another? so do i know you?
  16. oh how i wish i was on guntersville instead of at work.... that would be nice!!
  17. I had a great day....but I am not a mother, but, thank you for the post...it was very nice of you.
  18. isnt this so much fun!!! The joys of TOBACCO....... glad my family took the buy-out option a few years back.. I think setting is the easiest part.....=) especially with those float plants, when you dont have to go pull them. It surely beats topping and spearing. Now cutting wasnt that bad if you wanted to build muscles..and didnt run across any snakes. ha ha I probably done more work in tobacco and hay in my life than most guys my age around this part....
  19. If it wasnt raining everyone would be complaining about the 'drought' so, either way someones not happy. Cant say I am for the rain, because IM CLEARLY NOT...an occasional rain is okay not everyday. I coach softball and its put a real strain on our playing and practicing time here lately. And our yard looks like a hay field..... but, just commenting in general...
  20. APRIL 4th Cherokee....=) YAY!
  21. we were at BOONE lake... fished from 7-4.. some people caught fish on jerk baits (those pointers are nice), some on DT 10s, and anything from cranks to worms..... it was a tough day of fishing...but, when you found them...YOU FOUND THEM..ha ha
  22. what club do you fish with. I fish with ODBA... I didnt catch those fish...lol, I only had about 3 lbs. but, those were the biggest fish caught..the ones i mentioned earlier
  23. here we are... me and KVD
  24. I got like 5th out of the non-boaters...not a really good tournament, but not the worst...
