  1. hey deaton, try the mathews forum, it's a great website. by the way, what mathews did you get? and be ready for the haters. There's alot of bowtech and hoyt shooters that hate on mathews shooters. Not sure why, might be jealousy :
  2. use the slack tide as a time to move between locations, grab a bite to eat, or bathroom break. I have seen the bass bite completely shut down on a slack tide, but quickly turn back on when the water starts moving.
  3. there are places on the loch where the grass isn't so thick or not there at all because of the different bottoms on the lake. fish top water early in the morning and then when the sun gets high in the sky start walkin the shoreline looking for other places and casting out as you walk. In time you will find breaks in the grass or maybe gravel or rocky bottom. thats what I did years ago when the water was low so it was easier to get around. good luck
  4. high with the tide going out
  5. So let me get this straight... At a reasonable 6% over a period of 120 months ($355 over 10 years), Your final payment in year 2019 you would have paid $52,600 for a $42,000 boat. I'm not knocking you because I don't know a ton of people have $42,000 in their bank account... But then again I don't know a ton of people with a $42,000 rig either. :-/ you oughta see how much I'll pay for my house when it's done.
  6. I could be wrong but I think buying a boat without financining, especially on a high end rig is not the norm. Just bought a Z8 for 42, put about 10 down and payments are about 350. I wish I had 42 grand in cash laying around but thats not gonna happen. You only live once, just make sure you're comfortable with that payment every month even if it gets covered in snow.
  7. My experience with tracker is that they will not negotiate. I was buying a new Z8, and tried to haggle on price, accessories and even gift cards. Tracker would not budge even though I walked out on them. I even called two other tracker dealers to see if it was just my dealer, and no luck. I was even paying cash, they didn't care.
