  1. Like some of the other post I think success is defined in many different ways. This time of the year success will not be measure by how many you catch but may be measure by the quality of what you catch. The great thing about bass fishing is its a thinking mans sport. If you set out to catch a big bass by using only large baits and you only catch one lunker and nothing else then I would have to say you were successful. I think success may be measured differently with each trip.
  2. Yak, welcome aboard. Like you I troll when moving around from one area to another. It is a very effective way to catch fish and especially bass.
  3. My favorites are the ones that go more in depth on techniques and lure presentation such a Denny Brauer, Hank Parker and Bill Dance. As for as the pro tour is concerned Van Dam is consistantly at the top and I like Greg Hackney who seems to be rising quickly.
  4. None of us may never catch the world record but if you keep at it you will catch some anyone would be proud to display.
  5. Irish, they have been very good. I will have to start taping soon. I will be fishing most saturday mornings.
  6. While I was in Walmart today I noticed they just started selling Gary Yamamoto soft plastics including the senko....
  7. Grand Bay, AL on the gulf coast....
  8. It also nice to talk to people who love bass fishing.
  9. Reel: Pflueger rod: allstar baits: zoom, berkley, yum, Bearpaws line: pline topwater: zara spook jerkbait: smithwick
  10. Like hawg dog, I can catch bass on the 6" zoom lizard (watermelon seed) when nothing else works. I fish it weightless. The zoom lizard is barely ahead of the berkley 7" power worm (black). These are my go to baits. I also like the senko's 4 and 5 inch. There are many senko imitations that work just as good. 7" culprit (red shad) is very good also.
  11. Yes it is. How is everything up north. Looks like you are still tournament fishing. Hope to see you someday on tv fishing the Bassmaster tournament tour and you may already be doing this. Anymore members from the old board?
