Im here to introduce myself, I was told its the easiest way to meet some friends who like bass fishing like myself. I live in west palm beach, fl. If anyone has any info on modifiacations to baitcast reels, please post it. I am mainly looking for where to buy carbon fiber cranks, cork grips, sic bearings, carbontex drag washers, etc. I have a shimano calcutta te 100dc, looking to customize it a little and i dont know where to turn.

I use the E5 and i love it, anytime i fish side by side with someone using an E7 or a citica 200e, i always seem to out fish them, i think the retrieve is perfect, for crankbaits that is. now if you want something for all around, the Shimano Citica I find works great cause of the 6.2:1 gearing is easy enough to slightly slow or slightly speed up. Hope this helps. I have a curado E5, citica 200e, and a calcutta te 100dc on the way, i'll let you know then which i like better in the 5's gearing!!!!

Im with quitlimpin on this one, start with some mono or if you want the extra strength, go for the Gamma CoPolymer, their 10lb is equal to 15lbs of breaking, and the 12lb is rated at 17.5lbs, and that braid is not fun when you overrun. just an idea.
