  1. Just wondering what technique everyone used to free up their line when it got all fouled up around their rod when they are fishing. is it faster to take the time and set the but of the rod at your feet and unwrap it with your lure in hand? Do you roll the rod in your hands to untangle your wraps? or do you keep your rod extended and whip your lure around in circles trying to untangle the mess?
  2. I agree with piranha those cheap wal mart brand classes have always been pleanty good enough for me. go through a couple pairs a year but have not had a prob with the polarization wearing out(sorry KU Bassmaster). I usually try to buy the lightest tinted pair they have. It has sort of a light grey lens... seems like all the other colors throw kind of a funky color on the the water that just doesnt look natural. The brand name on those is Renegade and they are $9.95. The ones labeled smaller fit seem to fit me a lot better but pick a set that best suits you... dont be afraid to take them out of the box and try em on cause in my experience the wrong color lens can be distracting. Good luck and "tight lines"
  3. When your thumb prints have beem scratched off completely. On both hands!!! LOL
  4. I a red hook by diachi with a tiny cork screw on the eye to help keep the bait on. This little corkscrew has made a world of difference in keeping my senko attached to the hook in the right place. Cant find them in standard color so dont know if it would be better. But can tell ya that the bass i caught on my pro was caught on a red hook and he slammed it as soon as it hit the water no hesitation.
  5. Chris: Thanks for the tips on getting your crank baits down deeper I used one of them last night and the landed more fish in one hour of fishing than i had all day.
  6. yeah it works real well bu i must admit i got it from a book called "Fishing tips and Tricks" bought the book at Gander Mountain has a lot of other tips in there like Armor-all on your skirts to help make them more weedless and the one posted above... the web site of the publisher is www.creativepub.com
  7. this is my first post so forgive me if it comes out a little crazy used to happen to me all the time but have a tip that just might save the day for ya: 1:cast our baitcaster as far out as possible or too whatever distance you think you will be flipping too 2: pull out a few exta yards of line 3: take electrical tape (works best on a dry spool) and place it across your line remaining on the spool Now your backlash can only go as deep as the tape you just applied..... this has helped me a bunch. let me know how it works for you.
