Just got a replacement for a BCR803x, which is not made any more. Was given 3 options at no charge besides the $50.00 service but upgraded to a BCR893 mossyback for $25.00. Customer service rep said no replacement for a discontinued rod OR an upgrade for ANY rod would be available after Aug 1.

According to their website it's still $50.00 for the service.

Going to be fishing Skaneateles Lake next Monday and Tuesday and Otisco Lake the following week. Any info on these lakes would be greatly appreciated, mainly just what works there. As I remember Skaneateles is clear so thinking finesse but hopefully some experts here can show me the light. Thanks in advance.

Go for the BCR 803 GLX, even on the GLoomis website they say it's the best 3/8 jig and worm rod.

Looking for a great reel mechanic in the Charlotte, NC area. Thanks in advance

Drove in from New York about 15 minutes ago and had 2 Aldebarans waiting at my door. Ordered one used from Ichiban tackle, after a member here mentioned it in a post, on thursday afternoon. The other was ordered friday from brooklynbobs, again would never have found it if it wasn't for BR, and both got here today, that's good service now. Now all I have to figure out is what applications to use them for, so I'm asking all the experts here for advice. My other reels are chronarch superfrees, chronarchs, scorpions and curados, if that helps any. Thanks in advance.
