Die Hard in Boise
Definitely is a gorgeous state. I live in the valley where you get little to no snow, but you can look up on the mountains and see the white everywhere. Having a freakish warm front right now. 80 some degrees and still snow on the mountain tops. Fishing is just starting to turn on.

Best way to choose a bass club?
I am the president of the Boise Bass Busters and can honestly say that our club isn't for everyone. I saw a post where they mentioned meeting with the president and asking questions about the club. This is dead on track. For instance, ours is a tournament and family oriented club. However, we don't do a boater/non-boater draw. You fish in your boat or have to find someone to fish with. This would possibly change down the road once you and the other members get to know each other. We have structured meetings, participate in youth events and help on conservation projects as well. If you are only in to tournament fishing, any officer of the club should be able to sit down with you and discuss your goals and tell you whether or not you would like their setup. Hope this helps,

Anyone from Idaho?
I must have somehow missed this board. Don't quite know how. Maybe it's just that time of day where the brain turns off. Anyways, I fish CJ Strike alot. We are fishing the BBB OPEN at Lake Lowell this Saturday. The lake is almost full and it's supposed to be warm with little wind. It's gonna be a jig day. Flippin, Flippin, Flippin & more Flippin. Gotta love the largies hiding in the trees.

Die Hard in Boise
I know Idaho isn't known for the big lunkers, but the big bass at our tournamanet last weekend was over 7 lbs. Seems small in comparison to alot of the pics I'm seeing around the sight. Might have to hit the road and catch a few tournaments where the growing season is longer than 5 months or so.

Which culling system and floats to use????
I like the Ardent balls, but have also seen a newer system called accu-cull. It fits right in the lid and looks real easy to use. Price doesn't seem to bad

Help Using A Bass Jig
I had that problem at first as well. Was throwing alot of different jigs. Was recommended to try a light weight spider jig so it would have better feel. Also went with a craw chunk trailer to match the lake we were fishing for the day. Started using Kaotik jigs 1/4 oz with wide gap hooks and the bites are alot easier to feel. Also went to 12 lb line for a little better feel as well. Too much lighter and it seems to break easy when setting the hook.

Been browsing the site for awhile now. It's great to see the input everyone is willing to offer. I am a tournament fisherman and looking to gain knowledge.
