finally got out on the lake and landed about a dozen fish in about 4 hours. ;D had a great time out there and can't wait to do it again. still looking to beat my personal best but I'll take what ever i can until then.

come down to okeechobee and fish with captain mike shellen. had a good day with him on thursday.

Just got off the lake a few hours ago and heres what worked for us. Zoom worms black and also red with green glitter. Top water poppers as well. Hope that helps you out.

Hello everyone my name is Todd and I love to fish. I live in Okeechobee, Fl. I've been fishing on and off for about 20 years but since I'm back in Fl I try and fish every chance I get. Love to take my son who is almost 7 fishing to see his face when he catches a bluegill. He's already baiting his own hook and taking the fish off after he catches them. We don't have a boat to get out onto Lake Okeechobee but we are definitely looking for one. I'm getting to go out on a guide service in about 2 weeks so I can hopefully catch some very large bass. I'm hoping to beat my personal best witch is only a 5 pounder. Can't wait to get some good fishing info from everyone.
