  1. Hello all. I am fixing to start pouring my own jigs. I am trying to choose between the poison tail mold and the hidden eye brush jig mold. I like the fact that the Brush jig comes in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 in the same mold. The poison tail either comes in 1/2 ,3/4, and 1 ounce or 1/8, 1/4, and 3/8 and I have no use for a 1/8 jig and rarely use a 1/4. I like the wide gap hook that the poison tail is fitted for but the brush jig seems to stand the hook up better. I just wanted to know you guy's opinion on which of these would be a better all around jig. I would love to know about any experiences with either. Thank you.
  2. Cabelas has their XML 6'6" worm/jig rods on sale for $29.99. Recently picked up the worm/jig rod and the 6'10" pitching rod and love both. Great sensitivity and overall fantastic rod. For only $29.99(usually $139.99) you can't go wrong. Definentely worth checking out.
  3. Thanx for the feedback guys. i think I'm gonna go with 20 lb braid and see how i like it.
  4. I recently purchased a a 6'6" medium heavy spinning rod i want to use for skipping weightless flukes and senkos under docks and cover. What type and wieght line would you guys recommend and also what would be a good reel to use for this with a price limit of around $50 or $60 seeing as im a poor college student?
