Do your self a favor and don't waste your money on those combo's unless you can't afford more. Bass Pro Shops has a Shimano Sahara / Bionic Blade XPS combo for 99.98 .

Med power/Moderate action for shallow cranking. Med power/Moderate-fast action for deep cranking. Just my opinion.

Early in the year when I'm fishing shallow water I use a 1/8 oz. spinner. As the year goes on I'll go up to a 1oz. depending on the depth of water I'm fishing.
