Orange Dr, Davie
Think I might drive over there and fish along the bank sometime this week.

Orange Dr, Davie
Anyone ever fish back on that canal on Orange Dr, in Davie? There's a good amount of space where you could just pull over and fish right from the bank. I was just wondering if it was any good. I know there was a Florida canal sign but I couldn't see it too clearly.

Stage of fish in Florida right now?
I have caught some solid fish in the canal behind my house the past couple of days. Out of three days worth of fishing in the afternoon water temp. probably around the 60's I landed 5 or 6 2-3 pound bass. The patterns are weird. One minute they hit something, the other the bite stops. Senko's and trick worms are what worked for me. The most productive pattern was a quick retrieval and then letting the senko/worm drop down near some cover.

Peacock Bass Fish Kills
Went out on my canal on Sunday. Bass are on again. Water is really stained with a lot of floating debris. Lot's of floating Mayan Cichlids, Snakeheads seem to be allright... I have not seen any dead fish yet, just stressed ones. My bait of choice was a black/chart flake senko. Lost one really big bass . Bass are spawning already in my canal. Lot's of big mommas on the beds.

Peacock Bass Fish Kills
I haven't seen anything yet in my lake. I did see some disoriented plecos and snakeheads. Haven't caught any largemouth. Fished a senko slooooow for hours too.

Lunker caught behind my house.
Canal is in a residential community in Coconut Creek known as Centura Parc. If you can not get into the community (I doubt you can unless you know somebody since it is gated) you can fish across the street in the big canal across from the community that basically goes into the tradewinds park canal. Don't know if anybody has ever fished over there but it's all connected to this canal I caught my lunker in. There are deffinitely lots of big fish in this canal. Ive caught a large snakehead, lots of peacock bass, and big bass.

Lunker caught behind my house.
I'd say a 9lb fish. Caught him or her right behind my house in a branch off the C-13 canal. Caught fast on heavy tackle as to not exhaust the fish and released to live on to fight again another day.

Lox Refuge
Water is cooling off significantly in the afternoons now. The Bass are hungry!

PB Striper from the Kayak!
d**n, you could have just swam that fish back home. You don't need a kayak anymore.
-
PB country and Broward Canals
Is that spot near fau? I've been having some rough times in the canals as of lately with the bass. I've been throwing trick worms, senkos, flukes, spinnerbaits and just about anything.

Canal Issues
I've heard the bridges are good for peacocks as well and if your fishing off a boat you can hit the rocks/riprap up against the shore in a few canals.

boca delmar golfcourses. anyone familiar?
How about that canal right before 18th street heading north on powerline. There's even a large bridge and a spot to pull over looks like there could be some prime fishing there.
