1987 Cajun bass boat WOOD FLOOR QUESTION!!
Wire it now. Fish finders come with a short power cord that ends where they want you to splice in the inline fuse. If it is going to be bow mounted, it is not even close to long enough. My best advice would be to wire a short run from the battery to a connection board where you can fuse anything you want to and add custom connections as needed without ever having to go back to the battery again. There should be plenty of room under the drivers console on the back wall. For most of your other low power accessories 18ga. wiring should be more than sufficient. Your livewells and possibly your bilge probably were wired with 10ga like most other things if it is like mine. Others may have better advice.

1987 Cajun bass boat WOOD FLOOR QUESTION!!
Cajuns were wired by the dealers, not the manufacturer, so no wiring diagrams for the most part (unless it is mounted on the cover of the battery compartment). Use one battery for cranking, lights, livewells, electronics, etc, and one for the trolling motor (two if it is a 24v motor). Your cranking battery will get recharged running the big motor. I just replaced the wiring in my Cajun including connectors from the bow plate to the trolling battery. It really isn't that bad because there is a channel that runs down the entire port side and you can just wire tie the new harness to the old harness. The charge-run switch on the bow plate is useless and you don't need to worry about it unless you have an external charger that you want to plug in there instead of an on-board charger. Most people on here suggest 4 or 6ga. wire for the trolling motor run. I used 8ga., but don't let that stop you from doing it right.

I am going to be a father...
Relax, everything will be fine. Many others have done it as well. Some have survived.

Eye in the sky helps the fisherman....
Nothing against Google Earth, but the images on Microsoft's Virtual Earth are much sharper. NASA's Whirl Wind is also pretty good and has plug-ins for Virtual Earth and NOAA topo maps. Just an alternative.

Heatwave!
It's been around one hundred around here for days! Our rain shuts off around April or May, and we won't see it again until October or November. I hear we may have a cold snap Friday or Saturday with it only in the low 90's.

Whats Your Favorite Water Level?
Not on my lake it doesn't.

Whats Your Favorite Water Level?
About 40' higher than where it is now! My usual lake in the last month has dropped so low that an island I never knew was there has sprung up in the middle of the lake. Since the coves are now dried up, there's very little room to escape the water skiers. Boats are tying together in the main channel to drop swimmers and lounge rafts and have their social gatherings. I may have to call it quits until after Labor Day when water skiers are kicked off the lake until Memorial Day. I guess the answer to your question is anything higher than 15' below pool.

Move to Colorado?
You can find some bass there, but you would have to go to Pueblo reservoir. Colorado Springs has a couple of small lakes (ponds really) with stocker rainbows for those times when you just have to fish. Other than that, I would hit any of the park streams on the way to Cripple Creek. Some really nice browns there. I was back there last summer for a family visit, and the first time back since 2000, and the east and north sides have just exploded. It used to be that the Air Force Academy was outside of town. Now it is just the north end. Every vacant field on Powers on the east side now has a shopping mall. I enjoyed my time there in younger years like my 20's and 30's, but it is no longer on our places we would consider moving to. Nothing really bad to say about it, it just no longer suits our lifestyle. I've made some throw the dart moves in my youth, but I would strongly suggest looking for things like jobs and housing first, and look at the recreational aspects after that.

Move to Colorado?
I lived there several times after relocating from MA. Graduated high school there. Graduated college there. The winters kinda suck. Better trout fishing than bass fishing. Colorado Springs area. What more would you like to know?

NorCal's Lake Earl
Not familiar with it personally, but it looks to be DFG land (Dept Fish/Game). This is from the web site: http://www.dfg.ca.gov/lands/wa/region1/lakeearl.html

Sega Bassfishing
But it's single player only. Can't bring along your regular fishing buddies, and mine always brings the beer!

Trim motor problem
There is a way to bypass the switches and the relays and apply 12v directly to the motor. Unfortunately, I don't know what motor you have, so I can't be of any help on the procedure. If you can get to that point, you have pretty much ruled out everything else.

Trim motor problem
Does it make any noise when you hit the switch? You might try swapping the relays (under the engine cowl). They should be the same ones for up/down.

Minor problem with my tilt/trim
I think we've talked about your tnt before, right? We have the same engine and pump/motor for tnt. If you got the replacement pump (853515A1) and not the original (F694541-2), then you should have the one that has the easy o-ring replacement. If you have the original older model, you might consider sending it in for a rebuild. Mine leaks down as well. I talked to John at Jones Trolling Motor about it since he sells replacement pumps, and he told me his does the same thing as well and has been for the last 6 years. His advice: "Live with it". I am probably putting it on next year's to-do list, but for now it is not an issue. I am not familiar with what is involved in the rebuild, but the information I have I got from iBoats.com. They talk about this leak down issue frequently, and have a section on the forum specifically for Force motors. Good luck.
