Anyone want to go bass fishing in Western WA
Cool:) Thanks for the info and just let me know Glenn, would love to have you out on the boat sometime. I went out to Lake Tapps this weekend and got skunked. The water is still very cold and I think I was fishing too fast. Is anyone going to the Deep Water Smallmouth fishing seminar on Thursday at Auburn Sports and Marine? I think I am going to give it a shot, especially since I think that is my biggest weakness when it comes to fishing (deep water fishing that is).

Anyone want to go bass fishing in Western WA
Hey everyone:) I was just wondering if anyone wanted to get together and go bass fishing in Western Washington. I have a boat, but I am a little unfamiliar with the lakes around here. I have been to American and Tapps Lake and have had a little bit of success but was looking into branching out a little more. So if you are in need of a fishing partner, just shoot me a message and I would be glad to go sometime.

Looking for tips on Fishing/Family Fun boat
First off, thanks for all the insight provided by everyone. This is going to be a tuff decision to make, but all of your views have definetly helped me with the thought/research process. Right now I am still leaning towards a fish/ski boat. Yes...I know that it will have a lot LESS room then a normal bass boat. But, the thing is, I really want to have my kids enjoy the water as much as they can. Some of my favorite memories with my Dad came when we were on the water. Now most of those memories were of fishing, but if one or so of my kids doesn't like fishing (blasphemy?), then I still would like to be able to take him/her out for a fun time on the water. On the two boat thing, I definetly had thought of that. And that would be great if I had the room for, but I think I am barely going to have enough room for one boat, and if I had two, my wife would kill me (Or she just would never see me:) hehe. Thanks again for all your help. Good luck fishing to all of you!

Looking for tips on Fishing/Family Fun boat
Hi guys. First off, I want to thank you all for all of the invaluable information you have all provided on this site. I have been a lurker here for atleast a year now and I love this site. I was wondering if any of you had any ideas/experience with a Fishing/Family fun boat. Basically, what I am trying to get is a boat that I can be efficient in fishing with, but at the same time, maybe 10 times a year, take the family out tubing/pleasure boating. This isn't type of boat really wasn't my first choice but my wife convinced me that I should get that type of a boat instead of a "bass boat." I am currently in Iraq, but I want to take this time to do all research I need that way when I get back, I am ready to buy a boat and get out on the water. So far, this is what I have been looking at: http://www.rangerboats.com/pages/boats/1750.cfm It is a little expensive (Probably around $32,000) so I was trying to see if there were any cheaper alternatives. I probably could afford something like this, but we are going to be moving into our first house so I am a little scared of getting into something with a big monthly payment. The thing I like about this one is even though it looks like a ski boat kind of, it also has a lot of good fishing options. Another thing my wife likes is that it has tons of room for people to sit down. I am not planning on taking a bunch of people around if I was tubing, but if I was just slowly going around a protected lake, pleasure boating, then i would think everyone would be comfortable in this. I don't know, maybe the type of boat I am asking for doesn't exist, but I was just wondering if you guys had any experience with trying to combine fishing/family into one boat. I don't think we will be doing any skiing off of it, just some tubing and pleasure boating and a WHOLE BUNCH OF FISHING. Thanks guys for your help!

Inflatible fishing boats
I made the misstake and bought an inflatable boat. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It is VERY uncomfortable to sit in. You obviously can't stand up in it much. And it is a pain in the butt blowing it up everytime you go. I wish I just would have bought a small aluminum boat instead, or even a canoe.

Tournament or Recreational Fisherman?
Right now I am a recreational fisherman, but I can see myself starting to do some tournaments after I get some more money and more free time. Right now, I am 100% recreation. But after I retire from the military, I probably will be 70% recreation, 30% tournament.

One Thing That Makes You Better
Practice, Practice, Practice. Especially when it comes to baitcasters. Time spent learning to cast your baitcasters in your back yard, is much better then trying to learn and cast your baitcaster while you are out on the lake fishing.

yearly pic
LBH, What type of program did you use to make that? I don't have enough pictures this year to really make one but next year I plan on remembering my darn camera. Good work man, that picture you made looks darn good.

New Boat G3 1544 mod v
TDG, I was wondering, if you don't mind, how much did that rig run you? I plan on buying a boat as soon as I get back from Iraq and that setup would be great. Well, good luck to you, I am sure you will catch tons of fish in that rig.

How long do you go fishing?
I usually fish for 4-6 hours starting at first light. I would like to fish more but I am usually in my inflatable boat so I get a little cramped after a while.

What state are you from?
I am in the military so my location changes a lot but atleast for the next couple of years, I will be in Washington State (Fort Lewis). If anyone from Washington ever wants to go fishing, feel free to give me an Instant Message. I have a small inflatable boat w/ a trolling motor so if the lake isn't too big, we could use my boat.

improvement this year
I have learned a WHOLE BUNCH of good information from this message board. Honestly, this board has advanced my fishing knowledge 10 times. Right now I am concentrating on learning how to fish senkos. I still haven't had much luck, but I am sure that I will get the hang of it. So to answer the question, I have learned a whole bunch of information and am currently in the process of testing it out on the water.
