Opinions on this combo
eh...well i guess it depends on how much you fish , but it is true that you get what you pay for. When i started out i had one of these, and the reel is just ok, but for the occasional fisherman itll be fine. The rod is the big difference in my opinion. just not very comfortable, and nearly as sensitive as a better rod. So depending on what you use it for, itd be hard for me to recommend it, especially after upgrading my gear. For the price however, its a good price and you will get good use out of it im sure.

Who's got the new energy pt?
Great reels in my opinion. The burner models I use feel just as smooth as in the store, and thats with braid....

Been a long time user of the Spro, but just seeing if anyone has had luck with the Maxx and if the new features (drain hole, rattle) make a difference

Upgrade Frog Rod
Want to upgrade my frog rod from what I'm using, maybe a rod made specifically for this application. Right now I'm just using a 7' H fast tip Compre with a Quantum 7:1 ratio reel on 65 lb. braid. Just curious about the rod though, any suggestions?

Wacky Rigging
1/16 oz. Jackall weedless wacky jighead and Jackall Flick shake worms 5.8

Jackall Flick Shake Worm
5.8 ... imo the best wacky rigging system out there, very untalked about but is a great setup for #'s. Won't catch that many large ones, but great for getting your limit and fast. I prefer 1/16 and 1/8, just depending on how fast the fish want it to fall.

Rigging Rage Craw
Trying out the Craws for the first time. Trying to determine if I should Texas right them with a Spot Remover or regular (pegged or unpegged). Also, if not a Spot Remover, what size and type of hook would you recommend?

issues with suffix braid
if your t-rigging ive also noticed my weight rubbing pretty bad after a while, just check your weights aren't nicking your line up

IM STUCK!!!
yea not much to them, just make sure you separate the legs, that's all i can think of. Theyre supposed to remain pretty compact for easy flippin in heavy stuff

Rod Modules?
Got a Quantum PT rod and Shimano Compre. Both $109 7ft MH rods. Quantum PT says it has 54 Million Module Blank while Compre says it has 70 million, does this make the compre better, more sensitive, etc.?

wacky rig line?
Been fishing the Jackal Weedless wacky rig jighead lately with alot of success, but i've been fishing it on mono since its 1/8 oz. head and i like the slow rate of fall. Just wondering how fluorocarbon would change this? I would prefer to use it because of its sensitivity but i know itll make it fall faster. Anyone with input or experience with this?
