  1. I have the 7'2" XH XF rod and i like it. I use it down here in the super thick grass with either a frog or a big T-rigged worm.. It is a little on the heavy side but it has a ton of power. It works great for what im using it for
  2. Pegged 1/8 to 1/4 oz weight Owner beast 6/0 65lb Power Pro 7'6" Heavy Abu Garcia Vendetta Abu Garcia Revo STX Sometimes when they hit it you can just set the hook..but sometime you would need to wait just a second. As for the hookset, I like to make sure they "feel" it
  3. for flippin/pitchin i use the 7'6" MH plenty of backbone but still a has little tip to work the bait. Plus the lure weight goes up to 3 oz so if you want to use it for some big baits it will work there to. I love it
  4. awesome info guys!!! look forward to giving it another shot

  7. thanks a lot for the information! If I put in at the north ramp off of Southern would you suggest I run down south or just try to fish the northern part?
  8. Hello all I went out to the Loxahatchee NWR today and got skunked :'(.. We launched at the ramp off of 441 and ran south past the next ramp ( i think it was south of mile marker 12) and fished the grass flats in that area and also flipped and pitched along the canal edges.. It really looked like the area could hold fish but we were not successful.. I just have a few questions about the area.. - what are the rules regarding the "closed areas" and the rules in general - where should we fish? the canal edges? or is there a way to get into the "middle" - I live closer to the ramp on the north side off of southern.. should we launch from there? I would really like to learn all I can because it is much closer to home than okeechobee and I would like a local spot for the weekdays after work.. Thanks!
  9. a question about the lake and size limit: I read from the FWC site that all bass under 18" must be released immediately in the lake... correct me if im wrong but that has to hurt tournament fishing throwing back 17 3/4"..or am i just reading the rules wrong?? :-/

I use the o-ring and it works great! When you get a fish the worm just slides up the line. You can get many fish off just 1 worm.
