  1. Senko, We are thinking alike for this Event.. Here is my initial lineup.. I need a good event, especially after not having a guy in the top 12 at Bassfest... Bucket A - Brent Ehrler Im a firm believer that Ehrler can catch them anywhere but after watching him on MLF, I believe hes is good with a dropshot and Smallmouth.. Bucket B - JVD JVD and Smallmouth go together like Peanut Butter & Jelly Bucket C - Brandon Palaniuk Palaniuk is actually a smallmouth guy also. He learned to fish while fishing for them.. He's also not afraid to go get the "motherload" out in the Big water! Bucket D - Scott Rook Im not sure why Im choosing Rook but Bucket D is tough! Im just going with my "gut", I guess.. Bucket E - Joseph Sancho Im going local in this bucket.. Sancho has won some big local tournaments in the area and Im hoping he can get a top 12!
  2. Im sticking with my original! Theyre talking about the ledge bite being a little tough and Im glad. With that being said, I like my lineup even more. Bucket A: Jason Christie Its Christie Time! He's due a top finish! Bucket B: Mark Davis Im with you Senko on the Davis pick.. He knows how to crank a ledge! Bucket C: Todd Faircloth Faircloth in Bucket C??? This is a steal.. Faircloth will win an event soon! Bucket D: Matt Lee This is a gut feeling. Hopefully he knows a little about crankbaiting a ledge with his experience on the Tennessee River.. Bucket E: Britt Myers I believe someone has traded Britt some waypoints for work on their truck and he will rip off a top 10!! haha
  3. I feel like I escaped Havasu decently.. Finished with 1083 pts. Im now at 92.8%.. My best pick was AMart who I predicted to win on my initial post!! Randall Tharp also came alive!! Ott Defoe didnt do too bad along with Josh Bertrand. Tommy Biffle was my lowest finisher but I still like him!!

  5. Yeah Man!! you are looking good! Both Ott Defoe & Tommy Biffle are no where to be found on BassTrakk.. My lineup isnt looking too good..
  6. I often fish the New River in WV and Tubes, Senkos, Grubs, Squarebills, and Topwater are the baits of choice.. If the water is stained, try a spinnerbait. Fish calmer water thru postspawn, then go to current during summer..
  7. I like your lineup Danno except Velvick.. Hes having some major back probs.. Hes even been at the hospital this week..
  8. I changed Myers out for Bertrand..
  9. Alright guys, Here is my initial lineup: A - Aaron Martens.. I chose Aaron because hes on a roll and he's the best at catching them deep!!! B - Tommy Biffle.. This may seem like a weird choice but Tommy is one of my favorites plus I really do believe the Biffle Bug will catchem off the rocks of Havasu!! C - Ott Defoe.. Defoe is a good "junk fisherman" and I feel like he will get onto a good pattern! D - Britt Myers.. Myers is pretty good at fishing deep and will crank his way into a good finish.. E - Randall Tharp.. Tharp is too good of a fisherman to be in this bucket.. He has had a bad year and hes tired of bad finishes.. This week, he will turn it around!! Btw, I kinda feel like Im cheating on Rojas.. Hes been on my team every week this season.. He will have another good tournament on his way to AOY but Martens will steal his thunder at Havasu!! AMart will finish first and Rojas will be 1st loser!! IMO....haha Good Luck Guys!
  10. Dean Rojas climbed back to the top and kept me from finishing awful! Good job Guys! Im now ranked 2401st and 91.8%..
  11. So far my team is stinking it up!! Chris Lane is my only bright spot.. Dean "not a machine today" Rojas is in 91st!!
  12. I locked in with: A: Rojas B: C. Lane C: B. Hite D: "Big Show" Scroggins E: Mueller Good Luck guys!!
  13. 3" grubs & jig heads can be fished in many ways and will catch smallmouth! Id start off with a pack of black & a pack of pumpkin add an 1/8 oz round ball head.. Then, pick you up a topwater bait like a pop-r, tiny torpedo, or a zara spook and you are ready to fish.. For under 10 bucks, you will be able to catch a lot!!
  14. Bassmaster.com.. You can go to the bottom of the page under "Video", and select "Elite Shows".
  15. Senko, I went back and watched the event from 2010 and Im having 2nd thoughts on my picks for this tournament.. Ive already exchanged Morganthaler for Chris Lane..
  16. Ive caught more on Black than any other.. I use other colors but I feel safe using black, even in clear water, due to Helgramites..
  17. Cabin Creek is my favorite.. My favorite color is Pumpkin Copper.. If the sun is shining and the water is clear, Pumpkin Copper is money!! Also, there are days when size doesnt matter but there are others when I have to use a 2.5" Strike King bitsy tube..
  18. I may flop totally as several of these are just "gut feelings".... haha Bucket A: Dean "The Machine" Rojas Dean will school Ish with the frog in this event!! haha Hes going for AOTY! Bucket B: Chad Morganthaler Morganthaler is on a roll! Hes been finishing well and won the southern Opens a few weeks ago on Toho.. The Delta may be completely different but there is an old song I like that says, "When youre Hot your Hot and when youre NOt your Not".. Bucket C: Brett Hite Hite is the most picked angler in the Bucket and I too picked him.. Hes fishing with a lot of confidence and the Chatterbait will once again catch em! Bucket D: Brent Chapman This is a gut pick.. Ive been burnt more time than once by picking Chapman but Im feeling he will do well this time, besides, I really didnt like another pick in Bucket D.. Bucket E: Paul Mueller Another Gut pick... Now is the time Paul!! Come out and be the contender I think you will be!!! haha
  19. Good Job Senko! I had a good run going.. I had Ike, Ehrler, and Rojas in the top 12 but all 3 kinda fell yesterday.. I cant believe Ike only weighed in 1... I bet he kept thinking things were gonna turn on and when they didnt, it was too late.. After Sabine, I was below the 50th percentile but now Im at 87.3%.. Im making a comeback!!
  20. No dissing by me Senko! Btw, nice job with the Fantasy Lineup!! I had 1048pts after yesterday and I think it will improve.. Evers finished the day in 50th and I look for him to climb.. Tharp couldnt drop any lower... I think Ike will finish top 3.. Dean Rojas and Ehrler will hold well..
  21. Thanks Guys! I didnt get a weight.. I was also the only guy around.. I put my camera on self timer, got the pic, took a measurement on my rod, and threw her back..
  22. My lineup isnt doing too bad except Tharp.... Look out for these guys that are fishing off shore! Bad weather is coming and they will continue to catch em.. I have Dean Rojas and hes had a good day but is fishing shallow. I look for him to struggle tomorrow..
  23. Next time your local lake gets pounded with a downpour, it may be the perfect time to go! I started not to fish a few weeks ago but Im glad I did.. I didnt get a weight on this guy but at 25", he is now my personal best!! He came on a black chatterbait..
  24. I grew up watching Jerry McKinnis, Jimmy Houston, Roland Martin, Orlando Wilson, Bill Dance, Hank Parker, and Roland Martin. I always like Rolands song the best but always like Jerry McKinnis's show the best.. He was more diverse.. He wasnt always throwing a spinnerbait on a big lake but had many shows wading or canoe fishing.. He fished for smallmouth too. Many of these other guys never did.. I seemed to relate more to him.. Found this on youtube.. Btw, I dont remember Shaw Grigsbys show..
  25. I saw a video Skeets twitter or facebook last night where he stated that he was struggling.. He may be sandbagging but he didnt sound like it..haha
