  1. My initial lineup for the classic.. Im bad about changing a day before though.. My toughest pic was Ike.. im kinda gagged at the way he acted at Conroe this week..
  2. How bout James Watson throwing a buzz bait? Kinda surprising to me..
  3. Wesley Strader loves the MLF format!!
  4. Ive played this for several years and havent figured out a good way to pick them.. The first year I done fairly well and thought, "Im pretty good at this".. Ive sucked every year after that.. Im thinking the "Out of a hat" method may be best for me.. Heres my Lanier Lineup! You guys may want to stay away from my team because I usally jinx them if I pick them.. Kelley Jaye Micah Frazier Mike Huff Jamie Hartman Paul Mueller
  5. For April, Id rather see a little stain in the water (not muddy but not clear).. I also love a little higher flows.. I like to power fish for smallmouth.
  6. First week of April will depend on what the weather has been during that time. April on the New can be anything.. I prefer April to have kinda high flows with a little color in the water. I typically start out with bright colored Spinnerbaits/Crankbaits/Jerkbaits in the early Spring. With a jerkbait, try clown or hothead xraps. Ill throw painted blade War Eagle Spinnerbaits (White, Chartreuse, or even pink). Spring Craw or White is usally my best Crankbait colors. If flows are low & on the clear side, I tend to throw tubes/grubs/senkos.. Be sure to slow your tubes down with a split shot rig or texas rig.. JMO You should be able to find a pattern & some big fish.
  7. Have you guys noticed that there are some contradictions among the officials? I seen a bass touch the carpet yesterday with no penalty.. Ive seen some officials award penalties for just touching their shirt & others not.. I also just seen an official tell Jared Litner not to touch his rod during a penalty while Ish gave the viewers a full tutorial of his bait, rod, line, ect during a penalty.. Im loving the Live coverage though!!!
  8. I can listen to Wesley Strader talk bass fishing for hours but theyre still talking over him!! Wish theyd realize we want to hear the anglers talk!
  9. Heres another aspect I just thought of.. Group A fishes on tuesday and (for example) Ott Defoe kills them on a bladed jig out of the muddiest part of the lake. Group B watches on MLF Live and on Wednesday all the group is throwing a bladed jig in that area.. Maybe theyre not allowed to watch? but theyre gonna be working the expo. Im sure someone will be telling them whats happening whether they want to know or not..
  10. How many will move on from each group? Im still confused bout this.. haha
  11. I go to the MLF website and everything is about the Lake Murray.. Will we be able to follow the guys on Toho this weekend or will we have to wait for the show to air? My favorite thing about Bassmasters was Bassmaster Live.. I still watch the shows air but I love keeping up during the event. Im not sure I will like this BPT if this cant happen.... Ill still love to watch the episodes but it feels like scrimmage games to me..
  12. MLF is as real as it gets.. Everyone trys to catch as many as they can on a given day! Also, some of my best days on the water came by result of the "bent rod pattern".. "Lets go see what Strader is doing", so this is real life to me.. haha
  13. Never been on the body of water but I looked at it for a while on Google earth and it looks good.. Looks to be plenty of options.
  14. In the river or one of the lakes?
  15. Anyone have any Tennessee River Classic predictions? How will this tournament be won? Im pulling for Ott Defoe!
