They actually do still make the baits but they aren't called RC anymore. They are called LC cranks at some places and TO (Takahiro Omori) cranks at BPS. If you look, you will find the same sq bills to replace the RC series.

Thanks, I think it would make a good business attire knife. The clip holds the knife securely and it is small and light enough that it doesn't weigh down your pocket or take up any room. Other than the slightly aggressive looking blade, the stainless steel knife looks classy, I think. One other nice thing about Spyderco knives is they stay tight as a drum. You never have to tighten anything up and there are no screws to mess with. Also, the thumbhole in the blade works as well as any of the "peg" style openers on other knifes.

I carry a Spyderco Dragonfly. It's smaller knife but still large enough to be useful. I use it daily for cutting random things at work, the belt clip and one handed open and close make it great for a daily carry knife. I've always carried Spyderco knives and the Dragonfly is my favorite of all of them I've owned.

Generally, I think of worm and jig rods as rods meant to throw weighted baits with a single hook. It's going to be a rod from 6'6" to 7'2" and a weight range of 3/16oz-1oz with a fast or xfast action. These rods are great for t-rigs and lighter jigs as well as spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swimjigs and buzzbaits. A worm and jig rod is an all purpose rod.

Just about every pro i've heard asked about it says they don't like the A-Rig and don't think it should be used in top level tournaments. All the FLW guys use it because they have to. In some events, if you're not fishing the A-Rig, you're not going to finish in the money. It doesn't mean they like it though. The A-Rig levels the playing field too much, according to some.

There are actually 2 Zoom Speed Craws. The Super Speed Craw and the Ultravibe Speed Craw. They have different pincher sizes and shapes, both are staples in my arsenal. Other craw baits I use and like are the Chigger Craw, Rage Craw and the Yum Money Craw. Also, check out the Missile Baits craws. They have a different shape than traditional craw baits but are very effective.

There is an article on this site (http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/alabama-rig-ban.html) stating the A-rig will be banned from tournaments starting next season. I don't care what people fish with but I'm glad the pro's are being held to a higher standard. I think FLW is making the right decision.

I almost never pay full retail for reels or "high end" baits and I build my own rods. There are too many good deals on the bay or when the online tackle shops have sales. The nice thing about buying online is you usually don't have to pay sales tax

Like you said, it's a brand new rod. Odds are, not many people have them. You should get one and tell us how you like it.

This is what I would do too. I realize in your hypothetical, you probably don't have an extra, empty reel but it's the only way I would consider doing this. Reel the line from the full reel onto the empty reel.

Braid is great for leafy vegetation and grass but it isn't so good for hard cover. 15lb braid is way too light for a baitcaster. Fluoro has great abrasion resistance but isn't nearly as manageable as braid. Fluoro has a lot of memory and is prone to break-offs when kinked. You might be best going with mono unless you're prepared to deal with fluoro's memory.

Yeah, it was a tough break for Martens today. According to him and his cameraman, he had enough weight to win the tournament. I guess winning AOY yesterday softened the blow some though. If this had happened yesterday, EE would have won AOY. Either way, I'm happy for Chris Lane, he needed a high finish to make the Classic and he went out and got it done.

Contrary to popular belief and their cost, Recoil Guides will also groove under certain situations. If you want a real high end guide to use with braid, titanium sics are where it's at.

I'm thinking if you're going striper fishing in the bay, your bass gear isn't going to be ideal, not even close.

Even if you did get it to float, the odds of you getting it to float upright and swim correctly are slim. Leave it alone.

Get on the email lists of all the major online tackle shops and they will let you know when they're having a big sale. To me, the sale that is going on when I have extra money to blow is the best sale.

I'm sure it's one of those baits where if I like it, I will end up buying a couple of them. I might start with the 7" to build some confidence in it and then get the 9". Didn't mean to hijack the thread, thanks for the advice fellas.

I've only used them on a couple of occasions but I really like them. They are as weedless as any bait out there, they walk the dog really well and I didn't find the hook ups to be any worse than a toad style bait or a regular frog. I will definitely use them again.
