So im new to this board but i have used it for a while on references and help. Decided to join the discussions and yeah =) Was fishing for Large mouth bass but wasn't having much luck (as always). So i threw out a snail hook with a piece of hot dog on the end under a float. Float started moving back and forth thought it was another turtle (caught 11 today alllll HUGE =/ ) but i pulled up this tilapia (correct spelling?) ended up taking first place for heaviest tilapia =) a much better result then last years "The size limit is 19! i had a 7 pound 18 1/4 on my line :-/" heart breaker haha so yeah here it is =)

Im pretty caveman with the way i approach..where i fish im at risk of being eaten ... 1. Look for Gators........ 2. Stay in open area..... 3. Look for baitfish..... 4. Toss a frog across lake under a tree and work its way over =)

Congrats! ive made 7 attempts (keeping count sad =( ) at using a from and all have failed! =/ had one catch...it was a turtle as always =/...Keep with it =)

Hi there =)

Well im from south texas and im pretty much right up on the coast so i was raised saltwater fishing! I have the great privilege of fishing on the amazing King Ranch: Dairy Lake for fresh waters! I spend way too much on fishing lures and gas money for fishing trips!......hope to learn a lot =)
