favorite lures for chub
if they are big...why not? obviously i like fishing them...not eating...i release them... I don't know anything about the way you consider chubs in US; here in Italy lots of people like to fish them, also because it's possible to catch them in spots where also trouts live... sigma...don't you like chubs? have you ever tried to retrieve a 50 cm one running in the current with your shiny spoon in his lips? if they are over 40 cm long they are not really bad...

Floater, slow sink, fast sink
my favorite swimbaits are floating or suspending, because i like a lot the dead sticking tecnique (especially with highsider and silent killer by deps) in little waters, maybe near to covers....if i have to fish in open water i prefer a slow straight retrieve with a sinking or slow sinking one...

hi guys!!! what about chubs in US? are you used to catch them with artificial lures? and, finally, what are the lures and the tecniques you like the best to catch them? i like a lot this fish because...can be so aggressive on your spoon or minnow... my favourite lures are spoons, little jerkbaits crankbaits and also shaky head white a little white soft shad....but i have friends catch big chubs on spinnerbait too :D

Senkos in a utility box vs. bag
the only real problem with the storage of soft-plastics in a box in my opinion is about scented ones...in this case i prefer to leave them in their own bag...but for every other type of soft lure the box is a very efficient and clean solution...especially if you have to store plastics in hundreds of types and color in your boat ;)

Refuse to Use Spincast
Just because you haven't used one doesn't mean that they don't exist. Plus, the most important part of the setup in throwing light baits is going to be the right rod. The reel and line are secondary. tyrius you are certainly right about the rod...it's a very important element of your combo when we are talking about finesse or ultra-finesse fishing with baitcasting reels. obviously we also must say what are the lures we consider finesse lures...finesse in my opinion are straight worm 3'', little shaky head, micro jigs (1/16 or 1/8 oz) and similar lures usually I use spinning reels to use this type of lures, but there also are very good baitcasting reels for this techique, instead very often they aren't very cheap and they are not very easy to use because they are really very free and you risk continuous backlash...there are daiwa pixy (very rare but very good) daiwa sol (cheaper and very good) and maybe also shimano cronarch 51mg....I have also heard Pinnacle Inertia Finesse are the right reels to start using finesse lures with baitcasters, but his performance are not obviously at the top (it has also a different price) Hope I have been useful Paolo

New member from Italy...nice to meet you!!
Hello guys, My name is Paolo Falchi, I'm 20, I study law and I'm a passionate angler from when i was only a child. I live in Italy, in a little village near to Florence and I love bass fishing, but I practice cat fishing too. I have decided to register myself in this forum because sometimes I read it and maybe it could be a good possibility to practice my English and to learn some nice tricks to become a better angler. I use to fish in both lakes and rivers; I have a belly boat I use to explore little lakes in the country and a boat to go fishing up and down on my favourite river, always trying to catch the Record Fish My favourite technique is crank-baiting but recently I have started to practice very often heavy pitching in covers and swimbaiting in open waters because I think these techniques can help me improving the size of my fish. I have said a lot of things and maybe i also made a lot of errors...I'm sorry but English is not really my mother tongue!!! I hope we will have the opportunity to talk a lot together about fishing!! goodbye!! Paolo
