Has anyone canoed or kayaked the smoke hole section of the potomac in wv? How bad is the white water?

I've fished at the pond by westfield marriot a couple times. There's another pond right across the street from the sully police station. I've only been there once, but I did see a big fish in there. Probably a catfish. But there were ticks everywhere. I don't live in that area anymore. But i'll be back later this month for a bit so i wanted to check some of them out.

Yeah I was talking about the the creek. Its deep in some spots. I've caught good size large mouth bass in creeks even shallower than elk lick run. I thought I'd give elk lick run a try. I have fished that pond to the southeast off pleasant forest drive. I left after a short time because it didn't look like a good fishing pond. I never even noticed that one on cox farms property. What area's have you fished there? Ever fished cub run? I've also noticed a lot of ponds at ticonderoga farms right down the street off braddock. Dont know if there fishing ponds though.

I haven't seen any signs there. I was also told by a MWAA Police Officer that he didn't think people would be bothered if all there doing is fishing.

Has anyone fished the dulles airport pond in front of the hotel? If there's already been a thread about this I didn't know because the search function doesn't work.
