Favorite Crankbait
+1 for BigM's baits, great guy and quality baits! I'd recommend searching his archived posts to get an idea of popular models and color schemes.

Is the Zoom/WEC Square Z the same as the E2 ?
Fishingfevertackle had an E3 for sale. It's not there now, but I emailed and they're going to have more soon. Might be something interesting to check out if you like the E1 and E2 and old bagleys.

Is the Zoom/WEC Square Z the same as the E2 ?
The Square Z appears to be a newly released WEC bait. It definitely looks smaller than an E2, maybe similar in size to a sand flea judging from it's size in proportion to the packaging. Fishingfevertackle had them for a week or so, then they disappeared. As of writing this they're back, though. I have purchased from them before and have no complaints. FYI, Simmons will consolidate shipping which helps. Though as you mentioned Fishingfevertackle has some harder to find colors.

Big M Crankbaits
Which of his baits were you fishing? I'm a new owner of some of his creations and must agree that they rock! He's great to work with and the pictures don't do justice for the craftsmanship and detail he puts into his baits.

Lifespan of a Balsa Crank
As I collect and fish more balsa crankbaits I was wondering if anyone could chime in on how long they last and tips for keeping them in service for as long as possible. Is there any advantage to keeping them stored in a Falcon FTO style box where they would be a little better organized, rather than piled in a 3700?

Why would a bait manufacturer screw up a good bait?
Below's an example of a nice looking bait from Mimic that I believe resembles a B3. It's got a high line tie, but not quite as high as the classic Bagleys. I haven't been able to get it wet, yet... I haven't been too highly motivated to get involved in any bidding wars for beat up Bagleys with the high line tie on ebay, but I would like to pick up a few in the near future. I really want to fish these lures too, so I'd figure it would be well worth it to find a custom job with a similar design and brand new paint for around the same price. Big M (Marty Burns) has some nice looking B3 remakes posted- http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1251061305

Easy to use depthfinder ?
The FishMark320 is a great all-around, affordable choice. Gives a good level of detail and is extremely easy to use when you get it dialed in to your particular body of water.

Bass Jigs
I grew my confidence in jigs by fishing a 3/8oz Pepper jig with a black/blue fleck Paca Chunk. Good stuff...

What the Pro's Use
Agreed, with info from forums like these it's tough to pick up a Bassmaster mag. However, I've found that BassWest is a pretty good read when I'm not online. I feel the same about outdoor programming that is filmed on "private water." It's just not the same. I've learned a lot of good fish catching techniques from watching Honey Hole Outdoors, in which public water is fished the majority of the time.

does anyone fish after 2 a.m.?
I've had some great night fishing during the spring in marinas, but have not had the chance to do the same in the summer.

Why would a bait manufacturer screw up a good bait?
Has anyone found any custom cranks that give the old Bagleys a run for their money? I'm interested in purchasing a few of the B2 and B3 styles. I know WEC has some nice replicas of the smaller Bagleys.
