  6. I use natural colors in clear water, and I use colors that a bass can see pretty easily in real stained or muddy water. Most of all, keep it simple.
  7. Another thing to try is not having a full skirt. Take a few strands out of the skirt.
  8. I keep it simple and throw a chartreuse/white or white 3/8 oz spinnerbait. Ill throw a half ounce when im slow rolling it on the bottom or it is real windy.

  14. Ended up not fishing. The cold front coming through last night turned me off since I didn't have any good stuff to fish. Went scouting around while the lakes low instead. There was a boat on every point and bank and everything in between from long hunter to fate sanders. Once you got past the hobson pike bridge there wasnt that many people. We fished for about fourty five minutes and caught seven. They were killing the number five and seven shad rap. I think they were chasing blue gill on the bank. For fourty three degree water, they were pretty active. I had one on a red eye shad and if it was a bass, it was a keepr for sure. It got off and I never saw it. Water was fourty eight around fate sanders and then fourty three about a mile past the hobson pike bridge towards the dam.
  15. Thanks! I bet its gonna be super crowded this weekend with this warm weather. Every one is gonna be itching to go.
  16. Dont do what one of my friends at school did. Show up the morning of a tournament with none of your equipment. Use all of my equipment the entire tournament. Not catch a keeper(this doesnt matter if you bring your own stuff). We get second and first big fish and he asks if he can pay for my lunch and call it even. I always split money 50/50 on winnings because thats the right thing to do. But when you show up with none of your stuff for a tournament and don't offer any gas money at all, you probably wont be getting a call to go fishing again.
  17. I was on the lake sunday afternoon and it was 41.5 at long hunter. I think the highest I saw was 43 at hong kong. I was going to put in last friday at fate sanders but it was frozen so I couldn't put in. I would think spring creek might be 53-55 with this warm weather, who knows.
  18. Those shad raps are goood lures for sure. Im planning on fishing it this weekend. Hopefully the water has warmed a little bit. Mainly going to "attempt" to get some of the itch off lol. Now that duck seasons over, im ready for bass fishing.
  19. Kevo, did you see this past weekends results? Mickey Beck had roughly sixteen pounds with four fish. Hes on some fish right now for sure haha.
