  1. Oh almost forgot...early morning bite any FROG is golden...I like the gambler cane toad and also the zoom horny toad, any color should work similar to the color of vegetation. I use the zoom flukes too...sometimes watermelon seed and sometimes pearl white...give these a shot early mornings for topwater bite if you can. Lemme know how it all works out!!
  2. I've been a few places in Orlando, never to Toho though. Anywhere I go I throw worms and more worms and they without a doubt work. I've been to Lake Howard a few times in Orlando, always done well with the rage tail anacondas, Green pumpkin for clear water, and in lakes with vegetation and especially hydrilla....watermelon seed or watermelon red works in central Florida wherever I've gone that holds hydrilla. If you like a smaller worm...zoom mag II watermelon seed is what I go with. Also the zoom ole monster...usually watermelon seed where there is hydrilla. That's a start for worm selection, if your by the shore, anywhere by hydrilla should produce...offshore I'd try to find ledges and dropoffs if you will be on a boat and have access to a depthfinder.
  3. I'm going there soon but have only been once, I myself need some help for sure. Fishin Daddy has good advice!
  4. Bill DANCE for sure. The regular old guy, doesn't fish tourneys, Bill is the man!!
  5. What'd you do with that fish fourbizz? Still an awesome fish. The one there I caught was 8lbs 10 ounces, 24 inches long. Thought yours was over ten for sure.
  6. I know of about 10 with 20 plus feet of water...phosphate ponds.
  7. 1 or 2 inch grubs on the 1/16 oz jighead is deadly!! No doubt he's right, for specks too. I like light green jighead with a lightgreen and yellow grub. Going to try a rooster tail and spiders now though, this forum has great information.
  8. I have to go out and catch a redfish, I never have. I've got a lot of nice trout, but I hear redfish is ten times better to eat. I have to get one just to fight it though, worry about catching some to clean later! Mosquito Lagoon sounds like the place to go, might have to give it a try.
  9. Does anyone fish for crappie in the summer time? I can get a few in lilly pads with minnows. I like the jigeyes with a small grub, maybe jig those as deep as I can get them? Any luck away from cover in summer time?
  10. Hey there I'm new here I love it so far. welcome from central Florida sir.
  11. Well put Mrlitetackle.... Trying to make a name for myself?? Or become a cool guy? I'm not trying to prove anything, just making a point. If I'm on a charter boat, there is a captain of this vessel, with a deckhand who could also drive, I can have a beer if I want, no one is in danger. Not arguing with anything. be happy
  12. 3 days after the full moon and 3 days before like Shawn said is golden. I'm talking day fishing, never fish that much at night. But also another post is on track too. Dark dark nights with no stars or moon, heavy clouds even is great for fishing the next day. The fish can't see anything on dark dark nights. Check the stars . Dark night= good day of fishing next day.
  13. LOL this thread. On a fishing charter for grouper in FL...you better believe I drank about 10 beers. The deckhand & captain would have popped the tops on my beers if I asked them to!!! Calm down people just don't drink and drive a boat/car etc.

Had a lot of strikes on the shads but same deal, 7 strikes landed 2 fish both smashed it less than 5 feet away from the boat. Could be little bass like you said which i think is true..topwater is way more fun, I miss more fish w those shads though, and they tear up easy.
  15. I'm all about responsibility. The pitts I go to the speed limit is idle speed, no wake whatsoever for one. And also there are no other boats number two. I would not drink on a bass boat where going 30 mph and faster was an option and there were other boaters around on the lake.
  16. LOL no beer while fishing...its the devil!! you guys are crazy. Bass fishing drinkin a beer is living. Now catching a bass with a buzz and with Lynard Skynard playing on the boat CD player is even better!!!! whew
  17. Fishing and drinking is the best! responsible drinking of course its fishing in nature..why not have a few beers? I don't use the big motor enough anyways..what am I going to to get a BUI using the trolling motor?? No. You guys make it sound like drinking a beer while fishing is the worst!! Fishing is not driving a car...you are out to have fun!!! gimme a break..god forbid you miss a fish...OH WELL its fun!
  18. Mudfish ahhh! You cleaned and ate some mudfish?? that is crazy bro. But those things are nasty fish I can't even look at them. I never ate any, I like to throw them on the bank give the birds something. I heard once they eat bass eggs and small baitfish bass would eat not sure if that's true though.
  19. what kind of worm was that bnw? Never seen anything like that
  20. I say probly no spawn..not around October, but I'm not a big spawn contasoeur either..but good time to go cuz the water won't be bath water in October!! Been to Harris chain only once it was 10 years ago and im 22 now lol...but when u come to Florida....Worms man...big time. 10 inch worms and up...lol the bigger the better i think, maybe a berkley 10 inch power worm or a jethro or somethin like that. I'm less than 50 miles from where you're headed....ive caught my biggest bass on worms.
  21. Florida is the fishing capital of the world...lol. Central FL fisherman here...plenty of ppl on here have responded w awesome information man..
  22. Yep have never had any lucky under 20 feet. I throw big swimbaits and texas rigged worms down deep on heavier weights but have never had any luck in the Mulberry, Ft. Meade and Ruskin areas. Thanks for the info
  23. We put a boat in..have had trouble getting it out some ramps...I need a 4 wheel drive truck...been lucky to get it out as much as we have w a V6 2 wheel drive truck lol. I have bank fished in Black Lake and I think that may be it so you usually don't put a boat in?
  24. That would be crazy lol sounds good man, I just recently caught one to mount, I have to get another one bigger. I'll talk to ya soon.
  25. Lol thanks a lot a lot man...my dad works for four corners...Don't know if you are anywhere near there but new to forum already have some new stuff to try..thanks. The connecting pits with railroad tressels stuff like that with spillways..always done damage and 6-11 feet of water but yeah I have fished a lot of fin and feather pitts never found something that works deep. Mainly south of Mulberry where we go..you may be close to there but i know there are a lot in Ft. Meade and Bartow..but you are for sure close by.
