  1. hey guys, Iwent out today using the shad carolina rigged as uncle leo said and got 1# 7oz and a 1# 1oz, anyway it was still pretty crappy but two fish is better than none. Thanks again for the advice uncle leo.
  2. that's gotta suck whoopbass.
  3. sweet im gonna try that ;D
  4. thanks uncle leo, would a texas rig work just as well?
  5. can you give me a picture of a carolina rig please? I'm a young teen and never fished a carolina rig before, but I've fished a dropshot, wacky, weightless, and texas rig

  11. well, while I was filming a tv show. my brother was on shore with my dad and he found a black jointed jitterbug, i went to 2 different ponds and got 2 explosions, one of them I caught, but I want to know any good techniques for these topwater baits. :-/
  12. Quantum tenacity baitcast rod/ reel combo. can I use it without snapping the rod? I have 12# spiderwire mono. but anyway, do you guys think it will work? or my dad has 17# mono, should I put a leader with 17 # test?
  13. ok guys, thanks anyway I also have a different way of tying a drop shot rig. 1. Take the line and run it through the hook, take a big tag and instead of tying a palomar or uni knot, tie a clinch knot. 2. run the line through the eye again so it stands sideways. 3. instead of a drop shot weight just get a sinker and tie a clinch knot on that. But you will have to retie the weight afte every fish. 4. Put a 6" Wave Tiki Trick Worm in Watermelon black flake and your ready to go! it's a killer method. trust me. I'm young but I have a good sized knowledge for fishing. 8-)
  14. Yes lead weights, my first time ever drop shotting yesterday at a local pond. I'm in the 11-13 range and I was paddling around because the man that allows me to fish has a paddle boat. anyway, I was drop shotting around the sprinkler in the middle of the pond and got a bite, so I set the hoke and after i reeled the bass in, the weight was gone. I actually lost a couple weights yesterday from the fish pulling them off and im afraid that the water will be poisoned and kill fish so I'm asking you guys and girls if lead weights will kill the bass. :-?
  15. haha. I wonder what it is (shakes weeds). It's a bass! happy birthday to me!
  16. Has anyone tried these? they look cool but I just want to know if they work first
  17. My family and I are going up there from PA and want to know how the fishing is like. My dad fished there over 20 years ago but doesn't know how it changed. So any one have pictures or tips on how the lake is and how to fish it?
  18. I'm from the 11-14 range and I have two fishing sponsors. Fish Harder Companies (Tru-Tungsten, Picasso, Youvella, and Cpt. Mike's lures) and Rufneck lures (Newest sponsor.). I'm looking for more so my dad and I can fish tournaments next year. But even though were not yet I have been promoting my sponsors proudly and I was on a local TV show promoting fish harder companies because rufneck lures didnt sponsor me yet. I should do another show next month so then i can promote both of them. I want to go to promotional shows but sadly with gas prices it can't happen right this second. Anyway, my plan is to go to Penn state U, or Pittsburgh state U so I can get a degree in marketing and fish on their fishing team. Also after college go enter some tourneys.
