  1. Throw the frog. Up against the banks and in the holes of the moss, algae, grass, and whatever it is. I was just up there Thursday. We caught 10bass in the short time we were there. Was also using a blue&silver spinnerbait. I'm ready to get back to Graham and Gibson.
  2. I had my boat in there once. Its full of gar. Actually caught one of them. Also caught a 4.5lb bass. Believe we even saw a couple jumping carp. One went right over the bow of the boat. there are some deep holes out there. Saw a couple 15ft spots.
  3. Fished that once. Caught quite a few 1-2lb range. Also got one 4.5lber. Caught a few gar. They are plentiful in there. Also saw a few jumping carp.
  4. Glenn springs last Saturday.
  5. Hit daycare the other day. Caught a couple dinks, a 1lb 1/4 and this beauty. Just shy of 3lb. Also stopped by Halle Park. Caught one small one. Wind was too bad out there that day.
  6. Cinder blocks. Quick and easy. That's what we used to do.
  7. Nice fish tater. I had pretty much given up on daycare. Used to catch 3 and 4lbers out there. Last few times I went, we either didn't catch anything or just some small ones. Will give it another shot this winter.
  8. I have been out there early in the morning a couple times and saw 2 guys in a little canoe fishing. They didn't care that I was there either. They toted that thing all the way along the trail. Wouldn't have been fun. Usually no one really fishing back there, which is nice, in my opinion. Just wonder if it is hooding water. They have had problems with it leaking.
  9. We have fished the big one a few times. Even before there was a trail back there. It is a good walk to get back there. I think they have a trail, or the start of one, around the top edge of the lake now. That will make it easier to navigate around instead of walking on the edge of the water like we used to do.Some decent fish in it. I haven't been since we got our boat though. I may have to go back there this fall/ winter again. We have pulled 3, 4, and even a few 5lbers out of the park pond with the fountains. Our secret little honey hole if we get skunked elsewhere.
  10. Halle park...park by the businesses on the neighborhood side and fish the levee. Usually good for a couple fish. I normally don't walk the whole thing anymore. Fish from the bridge back to the big culvert drain thing. Haven't been to grove in a while. Last time the better fishing was back on the wooded side of the lake. Careful tho..lots of ticks and snakes over there.
  11. Save your time and go elsewhere. I have better luck pond hopping and fishing from the bank at the collierville ponds than I do going there and paying to fish...that lake will never be as good as it used to be. I did catch a 4.5lber back in the shallow flat the last time I went out there to test my boat motor.
  12. Not sure if I'll be out there Sunday or not. We will be at Gibson county lake Saturday.
  13. That was our plan the last few weeks to. We've caught some OK numbers, but also struck out. The other weekend we were there and most of the mats were gone. Look for the black Jon boat with blue and gray interior next time. Will be pulled by a big black 4dr jeep and red trailer. Come up and say hello.
  14. Really? I must be doing something wrong. Haha
  15. That lake is definately not as good as it was about 7-10 years ago as far as bass go. We did head out there this past saturday however. I caught a 4lb bass and we caught a couple more little ones. Was windy as could be. And that lake stayed true to its addage; when it's windy, the fish don't bite.
