  1. we hit mahantango and that general area in the spring time. ive caught them almost that size but ive seen the other guys in the club catchem that big. the susky is one of my favorites to fish. my biggest so far was a 3lb 8oz.
  2. go with roadwarrior. i throw the rapala xrap till it hurts my arm. for the cloudy days i throw the glass ghost(GGH) and on partly or sunny days i throw the olive green or silver(OG,S). but for any weeds or grass id put out a super fluke weightless weedless in albino. oh yeah he mentioned the sammy. its a great one too, but i prefer the LC gunfish in any of their shad colors or ghost colors with a feathered tail.
  3. well i cant help ya for spots, considerin ur in illinoise. as for baits ill share my favs with ya. prespawn and spawn i throw tubes in 3-4" size, usually green pumpkin with red and purple flake. also like retiredbosn say a t rigged craw. post spawn early summer ill toss out a luckycraft gunfish95(or ya can find somethin similar) in aurora ghost or bloody table rock shad. but ya gotta have the featherd tail. late summer and fall ill bringem in using a jerkbait for open waters or super fluke grass bed n weeds. for the jerkbaits its a rapala x-rap in glass ghost in sunny weather or a silver or olive green in cloudy windy weather. so for the super fluke its alway been albino weightless t rigged with 3/0 ewg. with the fluke it gets them all largemouth and smallies, u can thrown it anywhere any time. thats my fav really. zoom super fluke albino.
  4. google search mareINC theyre in frederick maryland and fredricksburg Va. they have lots of used bass boats n pretty good prices. i actually found them lookin for a bass tracker.
  5. if ya dont mind gettin wet, throw some gear in a back pack n wade out there when the water is low. theres plenty good fishin. PM me let me know where your at n ill try n give ya some advice.
  6. hey there i live in hedgesville n hit a lot of places. get me a PM n well talk.
  7. ive had luck just below harpers ferry. we launch at brunswick and go up to where u were. im always throwin green pumpkin tubes with red flake. like subassjp said about the craws let the current take it. get in behind a point, toss it out into the current n let it bounce around the bottom on its way behind the point comin outta the current. once it gets behind ya pull it in throw out again. as for snyders i havent fished it but i know some guys who do they say senkos wacky rigged work best. on the potomac side at harpers ferry last i was up there (august 16th) the water was ankle deep with some small holes. i always throw a rooster tail up there, neon orange n yellow. plenty of small large mouth 6-10 inches nothin to brag about, but fun. n dont be afraid to go up into small feed creeks n throw spinner baits. typical white n chartruese. got a pic from the hapers ferry trip.
