Good Lure To Fish Inside Lily Pads?
Tartan34 is correct. Getting them out of thick pads will require heavy braid and heavy rods. Flip 1/2 tungsten trigged and try and get em out quick!

37 Pounds Hawgtech Dominates!
Wow....that's a huge sack for any lake in the country! Congrats.

2 Flipping Rods - Braid And Fluoro?
If youre moving to florida youll see a lot of the lakes in the southern part of the state may require long pitches deep into the cattails surrounded by chopped grass and all kinds of other junk. I personally wouldnt feel comfortable with anything less than 65# braid. It gets super thick in some of these lakes.

Large Worm Brands?
Big is subjective....for big check uptons customs. Ever think you might just need swimbait gear to toss a several ounce worm!

Braid, Why So Heavy?
20-30# braid will handle any bass on this planet with ease.....the problem, it will not handle heavy rods and big hook sets. Itll pop like a zit either at the knot or in the main line. Ive done it with 50# but never on 65# at least not yet.

Too Early For Consistent Snakehead?
Same here.....although snook fight ten times more than bass they just don't do it for me either. There's nothing like bringing in a big bass. Although I do want to catch some snakehead, really just to see if they taste as good as everyone says.

Everglades L29 Report, And Caught The Wrong Species
Mike great read in the glades fishing. Some interesting insights. Definitely gets the wheels upstairs turning. I font fish the glades much but it makes sense. The one time I fished near holiday park on a cold windy day I blanked. Never been Back since lol.

Mishandling Bass
Proper handling is very important. This below bothers me more personally more than a bass laying in the grass for a quick pic. Unfortunately this can be observed at the top level and examples far worse than this are seen.

Mishandling Bass
Although I believe your experience with what you shared to be somewhat isolated incidents I don't believe this happens often. One area I fish when I've only a short time to fish, I've caught hundreds and hundreds of bass from over the years. Although not every bass I catch here touches the ground, but a good amount of them do. I rarely see a dead bass from here. I can't even remember the last time I saw a dead one from there. Now if people are going to attribute other variables along with what kills the fish, covered in dirt, out of the water too long, breaking there jaws, bounced of concrete walls or rocks, then I agree wholly that all are contributors to it's demise. Just laying it on the grass for a few seconds more times than not will not kill a bass. Is it potentially hazardous, sure, is it certain death, no, not even close.

First Swimbait Order
Gulf Capt gave some really good advice. If the water is shallow rof 5 is good to use. On the other hand a rof 12 can be used in shallower water as well reeling it a little faster that MAY illicit a reaction bite too. Good luck brother!

First Swimbait Order
Honestly man if youre wondering how long one will last the answer is a long time with huddlebond. Word is the uglier the hudds get the more effective they become. Ive had hudd molds rip right out of the body and huddle bond will fix it pretty darn good. My answer would be two hudds just to start off. Probably the 68 too. Unless you lose them they will last a really lo g time.

First Swimbait Order
Do you mean they dont fall horizontally.
-
Mishandling Bass
I think overall it may be somewhat harmful but not life threatening. If that were the case some local areas I fish all the fish would be dead.

Anyone Fishing Okeechobee Lately
Same here, I'd love to give you some insight on the lake but it's been about a month for me too. Water level was a tick over 14 feet then and water temp was 62. I'd bet the water is closer to 13 now and the water temp is slightly warmer. I'd venture to say you could find some good schooling action out there.
