  2. i just joined this site, so sorry for the late reply. Berry is like every other lake over here in cali. Dropshot the cliffs and softbait the covers lol. always works for me. i am not a big fan of drop rigs, but it works.
  3. braid isnt smooth enough for me, but then again i dunno too much about set ups. for flipping i prefer fireline or just some basic mono XL smoothcast. usually light to med action rod. i go for 8 lb test. i really like to keep the mindset that my line is going to break. makes me fight better. Pros, due to time constrictions, just stand on their boats and flip braided where ever they want. That way they can just rip their cranks out of the weeds. I say go finess spinning reel/ultralight-light rod/ 8-12lb reel with a good drag. thats just me personally though, i always go for the challenger's spirit to make it more fun. You won't remember every bass you catch, but you will remember the ones you miss.
  4. aww man i wish i joined this site earlier. i woulda joined you on the striper hunt. The delta is great to me, 32 inch stripers woot!! Lake Chabot is the worst lake in the NorCal area. I know... its one of my home lakes. Mostly a trout lake that doesn't produce. if you want barely legal largemouth you should've went to san pablo resevoir. my bro landed a nice post spawn 8lber. ate it that night =] my biggest was at clear lake, a nice 5-6lb. cant really tell cause i have no scale. but he cut it open and it had a huge shad, 2 crawlfish and it STILL tore my texas rigged senko in half! beastly. But yes, if anyone ever wants to go shore fishing in my area, i'm there!
