Anybody know what the timing should be on a 2006 50hp merc ELPTO 2 stroke? Searched the net and could not get solid information. Thanks!

Fellow BR member, "Catching" told me he had gotten into a school of big bass that were feeding on shiners. He went on to tell me he had caught about 20 and had a real good un up to the boat before it shook off. Here is a cool clip of her shakeing itl.

The fishing was poor for me and my co-angler. We struggled to get a limit and they were all small. That area was smoking hot for the last 6 weeks. Dan/JD'sCustomBaits and I got a 10 fish sack for 42#s in that stretch 6 weeks ago. That was a beautiful Storm!

I'll be on Lake O sat and sun, hopefully the big uns are in tight. Staying at Rolands and will be at Tiki bar saturday for supper if anybody is up that way.

I'll be honest Steve.....I have never seen a bass that big, even in a tank. Do any of the places like Bass Pro Shops ever ask you to donate one of them monsters?

Salt on a rod is no big deal as long as you take time to wash the rod after each use. If its areally good rod then I would use a salt away spray just for insurance. I would not worry about the Curado, Shimano says its can be used in both fresh or salt. I have sent 7'-4" rods from Florida to Caifornia in a tube for around $20, 5#'s total weight. You may have an issue with weight if you can't find a cardboard tube.

I really enjoy my Carrot Stix. I have 2 6'-7" spinning mh and 2 6'-6" baitcast in mh. I would not hesitate to buy a few more. I cannot comment of drop shotting with them. But I one of the spinning outfits for wack rigging weightless senkos, and its plenty sensative in my opinion.
