Got hooked on fishing when my son was in Cub Scouts. He's now an 18 year old high school senior, and still my fishing buddy.
We primarily fish a subdivision pond we have access to through a work connection. There are some very nice size largemouths in there, although the buck bass we usually hook put up a heck of a tussle.
We've really learned a lot from this website. It's a treasure trove of useful information about how to get the most out of this great activity.
Keep up the good work and everybody, keep on contributing!

I recently shipped my Curado 200 to Paul's Bait & Tackle in St. Louis for it's first service since I bought it 5-6 years ago.
I found them on the Shimano website. I'm sure there are others closer to you that may still carry parts for the older reels like they do. Will advise how their work and price came out when I hear from them.
I'm a weekend pond angler looking for a moderately priced spinning combo to go with my Shimano Curado 200/Fenwick 6' Eagle GT baitcasting outfit. I really like my baitcasting combo, so I'm wanting basically the same type of performance from a spinning outfit, albeit with lighter line (I'm using 10 lb. test on the Curado).
Any help would be most welcome.
Thank You,
