  1. Welcome aboard!
  2. Looks like that bass has a close human relative.
  3. In my experience, and I've been to both, GM has considerably more rods.

  5. Welcome aboard, Joe!
  6. Awesome! Time to update your PB under your avatar!
  7. Wow, hmm. Love the X-Files, Star Trek: DS9, Magnum PI, CSI, Adams Family, Miami Vice, and I like the new Cosmos opening with "sense of awe and wonder" music...

    Welcome aboard, Matt! Nice bass.
  12. I don't fish tourneys, so every outing is a "normal day" for me. I'll carry between 2 and 4 rods on my kayak.

    Welcome aboard, Nag!
  15. Dang. Gorgeous. I'm tellin' ya. Virginia is callin' yer name!
  16. Definitely interested in how he does it. I've been mulling over possible iterations on how it could work. Physics, the hook set + bend of the line could produce enough of a stop to set the hook. But I still see it sliding down the line during the fight, and unless the weight at the bottom is fixed, the hook could technically work its way off the line....
  17. My question would be, with the stop under the hook how would you get a successful hook set w/o there being a knot? Wouldn't the bobber stop (assuming its the same kind I use) slide down on you? Interesting idea nonetheless.
  18. I remember taking my 4 boys out fishing, when they were all wee lads. Youngest is now 10. Those days were fun, and frustrating all at the same time. But full of memories! I wish they all loved to fish still, but alas, they grow older and interests wander. They still have an interest to go out with me from time to time. I try to get each of them out during the spawn every year....
  19. I'll let others chime in on the rods you mention as I have no experience with any. But let me welcome you the forums!
  20. Don't recall. Probably one of my spinning setups, either with a Stradic, or the Lexa. Then again, it might've been on a casting rig, either my Chronarch, or Lexa. I've caught a few this year so far, and the outings have been somewhat far apart from each other, so I just don't recall fully.
  21. Welcome aboard, Bill!
  22. Are you able to put in a small craft, like a kayak? If so, and given the weedy bottom you mention, I might suggest a drop shot with the hook and bait just above the weed line.
