  1. Welcome aboard, Mr. Wilson!
  2. I don't buy all the color craze, either. Walmart only had a few colors and that happened to be one of them, so why not... it coincided with reviews, too. Totally agree on lake personality. What works at one place may/may not work elsewhere.
  3. Excellent haul! Congrats!
  4. Actually trying them out for the first time, myself. Bought Fire & Ice at Walmart the other day. I normally don't go for such colors, but it came up in a lot of reviews, solo. Nada so far, but certainly not giving up.

Understand completely. Apple has never been a "cheaper" brand. Always a premium, but over the last number of years they've become cost-competitive on most fronts. As far as the yearly upgrades, that'll continue. I'd actually argue for Apple to increase the rollout to bi-annual in order to better compete with the likes of Samsung and HTC. Samsung releases new Galaxy Sx phones several times a year.... Not got any word on iOS 7 on an iPhone 4 yet. As a techie myself, it works great on a 4S, but that wasn't your question. My eldest son upgraded from a 4 to a 5 earlier when Best Buy offered free upgrades. Otherwise I'd have tested it out already. But I will keep an eye out and let you know.

Is definitely larger than iOS 6.x. I'm having to clear space off some of our iDevices in order to install. Servers are still being hammered. But son #2 got it on his iPhone, I've got it on mine and my iPad. So far I'm loving it. So nice to have a "breath of fresh air" in the OS. Really glad Apple took the card metaphor from webOS (believe Apple acquired the license for it, not sure) for closing down background apps. Sweet stuff.

Most of these reviewers have had it for longer than that. Some likely have had it prior to announcement and signed an NDA. And FWIW, given that this is my business (Apple/Tech stuff), I hold most of these reviewers (like Walt Mossberg) pretty high. They usually know what kind of stuff to look for, to stress, etc., in order to provide readers with enough fodder to make a sound decision. Many are with you and will wait for the new hardware/software.
  13. I always use a leader with braid. So my recommendation is a hearty YES! But you'll find others here who do not. That said, the leader can help with retying as you won't have to keep cutting your braid (except to tie a new leader)
  14. I tried it out a few years ago. The staining was awful. Perhaps PP has a new formula that doesn't bleed as much. But that pretty much ruined it for me. As well, I like a highly visible line, so prefer yellow PP instead.

Ooh! Lucky. I upgraded to the 5 this summer. 5s getting rave reviews.

Attempting to DL it for the umpteenth time on my iPhone 5. Apple's servers getting hammered with DL requests. About 3/4 the way done, fingers crossed it doesn't error out again. DL successful, "preparing update" WOOT! GAH! All the way through "Preparing Update" then "failure downloading update" Guess I'll try later on, hopefully things will settle down.
  18. Nice catches, fishguy, and welcome aboard!

  21. Oh man, Phil Rizzuto was electric! Loved his play by play of the Yanks. Same for former Bills radio announcer Van Miller. Best game I ever listened to was greatest comeback ever, 1993 Bills over Houston.
  22. Should probably add that I'm a Yankees fan through and through, but my "love" of baseball has largely diminished since the 80s. Used to stay up at night to listen to Yankees games on the radio. Today, bring on the playoffs and World Series, otherwise, no real interest.
