  1. Thanks guys (and gals) for the compliments on the rod. Me and my co-worker spent nearly 2 years designing the Ethos series of rods, and feel we have put a great rod out there for the money. It is turning out to be a great success, and my co-worker is already working on another Ethos series to follow this one. Thanks again.
  2. I'm in the fishing buisness. The old saying runs true...need to catch the fisherman before the fish. Its a market just like anything else. Does it all work...probally not, maybe 98%. Could you do just as good with 1% of it. YES! But we are all not tournament fisherman and we all enjoy catching fish on new lures and having the thrill of having tricked a bass with something new. There's a post every week of so about whats your favorite lure of all time. That thread is the tell-tale of all. See how many brand spankin lures show up in that thread ;D Its all good
  3. You won yourself some great baits. I think the comparison you looking for would be the Corton Cordell C.C. Shad. Let me know if you have any other questions regarding the baits.
  4. Academy H20 Xpress Tackle Backpack. $49.99. Can't beat it.
  5. When are they finally going to put up an online store?? I have heard at least ten different dates that have all been delayed. Next Month we should be up and going. We have all baits ready to sell online. Right now we still have workers performing mock purchases and stuff to check for any system flaws/errors.....before we pull the trigger on this.
  6. You can't beat the price for Big Bite. Great baits. The factory itself pours the majority of name brand soft plastic baits made in the U.S.
  7. Not the same molds at all. Academy's payed to have their own molds designed and made for these baits. Academy will start selling online next month.
  8. Yes, are website is not the best right now. We planned to launch our buisness online in Januarary.....but its been pushed back to March. Just hold on till March 8-)
  9. My buddy's been working on a flourocarbon hook for 3 years now. Looks like he better speed things up
  10. Our new target date to go online is in August. It was originally set for june but we still have a few bugs to work out system. Our hooks are up there with the best.
  11. I sat at his booth at Icast in 09' and checked out his injured minda.....neat concept but I didn't think it would go to far. It needs to be tweeked a little more and it might develop a following from other fellow bait makers and fisherman.
  12. H20 baits are not made by Lucky Craft. Not in the same factory either. Academy will launch its online e-commerce buisness in June 8-)
  13. Helicopter lure for me. Seemed to send everything running the other way. The fact that it resembles a helicopter, which is a common forage for bass :.....should have been the dead givaway that this lure wasn't going to work
  14. I work for Academy and have been monitering our sales on these hourly.....its unbelievable! Thing is we've had these baits for well over a year or two with fairly moderate sales....but now since KVD mentioned them everyones got to have one. They are good baits and I have caught some nice fish on them, but they are nothing but just another lipless crank. Nothing but pure buisness marketing right there.....they are catching fisherman by the boatloads ;D
  15. A good bait that doesn't get much attention is the Lunker City Finesse Shad baits. Much like any other fluke but better action with its thinning finesse tail. Many a good fish caught on this bait

Chrome/Blue has always been the winner with me
  17. Rattle Traps and H20 Xpress LCR's
  18. I helped design the H20 swimbaits and did all the ASCII certified pre-testing before release. Joints all passed pull test strengths and swimming action is great. Shouldn't be anything wrong with them. If anyone has had any problems...please let me know.
  19. I'd stick with the tried and true and not fall for the gimmicke stuff like this. This hasn't gone over to well in the hunting seen either. 8-)
  20. Larry these lure are our (academy's) house brand lures and will only be sold at Academy.
  21. Guys we should be selling online late March/early April. We originally anticipated for our new e-commerce buisness to be up and running already, but needed to work out a few more bugs. Its coming..
  22. Hi guys....my name is Brian. I help design and build Academy's H20 Xpress line of items as well as Marine Raider and Tournament Choice. I am glad yall are taking a liking to the jointed baits. We really worked hard on them and they came out better than expected, and have sold better than expected. Also nice to see them showing up in Ohio and Illinios as we have no stores located near there. I like to google our items once they hit the stores and see what people like or don't like about them, and of course I stumbled across this forum. Very nice Forum site and very welcoming members. Look forward to being a regular on this forum 8-)
  23. These baits a somehwhat fast sink rate. We spent a long time making these baits and there are well worth the money. Let me know what you think of them when you are able to chunk some. 8-)
