Hey guys I have been fishing a small lake about a 1000 acres and it is conjested with cypress trees and coon tail grass. I cant seem to find a consistent pattern for catching them any thoughts, ideas, tactikcs would be appreciated Lake could be compared best to Caddo Lake in East Texas

I got my money back for it and bought a used Wilderness systems Ride off od craigslist and I love it. SOT are great, self bailing, freedom of space, More storage, easy access in and out. SIK are dryer in the winter, You can store more rods on them being out the way

Typicaly fishing your feeder creeks is what many do. The shad push up in the feeder creeks resulting in a mass feeding frenzy

Or just put it in your livewell, put ice in it to keep water temp down then have the airiator turned on

Wind doesnt bother me I like it more in the Summer when the water is nasty and un oxygenated. It stirs up the water colum and makes the bass a little more active.

Crankbaits, Rattle traps , Heavy Spinner baits to keep it from getting washed away. Cast out into the current , current Breaks, and so so. You will see a pattern on where the fish are located at with the current pretty easily.

I thought about the critters out there and figured if the state thought it was too dangerous they wouldnt rent kayaks to the public. Plus Ive been out the multiple times now and all the gators do is run from you, atleast the big smart ones anyway.

A fluke with a heavy weighted hook would be my choice. Get down there to the bottom but giving it a little twitching motion. THis imatates a little fish has nocked the crap out it or stunned it and the bigger fish will be lazy and wait for the bait to sink down into it face.

Heys guys im new I have the choice of a New Caster 12.5 for 600 or a Tarpon 140 with rudder,Cart,fiber glass paddle, lifejacket. The Tarpon has been kep in a garage. Will the long Tarpon 140 be to long to manuver in and or should I go the smaller more manuveble kayak. I bass fish in the swamps of south Georgia with lots of cypress trees.
