  1. Too many colors to choose from ... What's your favorite colors for bass ?
  2. Nothing tickles me more than putting a sack of 5 in my UNWRAPPED boat then watching guys with wrapped boats pull straight past the scales and out the launch exit ! 8-)
  3. Why was it just himself and Kriet 1st thing Fri. morning then ? He knows what he's doing .. The guys intelligent ! If kvd were to place 50th with no fish , He'd still be the best angler in the world !
  4. I remember catching a Largemouth 2 years ago on a private lake in Mi. where my friend lives .. I had caught the fish roughly 1/2 mile away .. The fish was weighed and measured ! And also the fish had a chunk of it's skin missing near it's tail .. 2 weeks later my friend and i were fishing the canal where we had released it at his house and he caught that same bass within 100 ft. of where it was released .. The bass was the same length and weighed an oz. less ! I'm 99.9% sure it was the same fish because of the scar on it ! I examined the scar quite well and it looked like a pike took a chunk out or possibly a boat prop !
  5. If your consuming alcoholic beverages on a boat , You aren't fishing .. I usually consume my intake at the bar ! Sincerely , The Square
  6. Your only 17 .. You should be worried about your career in life rather than fishing sponsors .. But keep fishing and keep winning ! You will be noticed if you are elite enough .. The energy you wasted in that resume should of been on the water ! Don't let this discourage you but don't put all your peas in 1 pod ! I'm 28 and i really don't have a choice but to keep chasing this dream .. But you should worry about an education 1st ! And if fishing's meant to be , It'll be ! I've fished with some unbelievable fisher's that don't have much of a pot to pee in due to chasing this dream !
  7. I have to go against the grain on being a non-boater ... If you've only been fishing for 2-3 years sure go as a non-boater but if your familiar with all presentations and all weather conditions i'd go as a boater ! Anything you want to learn as far as patterns and experience you can learn online and no experience is as good as on the water experience ! I fished non-boater with some BIG name fisher's and everything they were doing i was very knowledgeable with prior to .. All i got out of it was their leftover fish which isn't much fishing behind such BIG name fisher's ! Get out there on your own ... But study study study ! And remember what you read ! And don't be afraid to switch presentations when you are catching fish ! That switch may be the 1 that trigger's off the bigger fish ! Learn how to thurally read a fish finder as well ! You gotta fish where the fish live ! And don't ever quit a job for fishing ! There's no guarantee in this game !
  8. Reasonable prices as well as making it a fishing show rather than a boat show with 20 bass club booths trying to get yearly memberships out of visitors !
  9. Because when they think sponsors , They think FREE ! They picture a 60 lb. tackle bag full of FREE lures sitting inside their FREE $70,000 boat awaiting blast off to fish their FREE tournament that their sponsor picked up ! I would recommend letting them learn just like you and i did ... Nothings FREE , But feel FREE to dream kids ! And also respect this sport and teach newcomers to respect it as well !
  10. Your best bet is to purchase some 1/8 , 3/16 , 1/4 , and 3/8 oz weights ... depending on your line diameter and rod length/action , each wight will have a different feel ! Fish with what feels right ! Don't make fishing complicated !
