  1. I did a double take! I thought it was KVD. LOLLOL!!! ;D
  2. The levelwind on Ambassadeur 5000 class and 6000 class reels do move on the cast. Most other Baitcasters for bass fishing do not. Your reel is fine.
  3. yea, copolymer can. Flouro is good, but dont tie it in a Palomar know. It is kinda brittle.
  4. I have used braid for years sight fishing for spawning bass in East Texas. I never used a leader. I hammered them. I guess it depends on if the lake is always clear and what species you are after. I havent noticed a difference.
  5. For less than 50$, I'd get an Ambassadeur 5000. They are old work horses. I have caught MANY good fish on them. They are tough too.
  6. I own one. Good reel! I recently supertuned it. Now it is an AWESOME REEL! I like it alot.
  7. The Revo Premier is light as a feather. 2 oz lighter than the STX. Plus it has a new 20# drag. Awesome reel.
  8. 50# power pro or Spiderwire Stealth. Most braids will do the trick. I Like Power Pro the best.
  9. If it were me, I'd rig one up with braid and rig it with a jig or soft plastic. The other I'd rig with mono for cranks, topwater, and spinnerbaits.
  10. Those are some cool reels. I am seriously thinking about snagging one. I am drawn to the Premier. I know it is expensive, but it is light as a feather, and I love the EVA Grips. The weight is a big thing to me. I want something that I can fish ALL DAY and never get fatigued. I am still trying to wait and make the right choice, I want "the one". My wife told me to get one I love that wont leave me wanting. The premier has it all.
  11. Hey y'all, Just going to introduce myself. My name is Brandon, I am 30 years old, married. Love Hunting and fishing. I have been fishing most of my life, but frequently for about 12 years. I like to go for all species of freshwater fish, but my main passion is bass. My home lake is Lake Ray Roberts in north Texas. I look forward to meeting some of you, and learning new things.
