  2. Bass, let me know when you wanna go. Ill go any given weekend. That was smart to find out who owned it and got permission. Gimme some details exactly if you can about when you wanna do this. I'll bring my digital and take some shots and post them so everyone can see what we are looking at.
  3. Avid, I think you are the one way off base here. He said he thought about bow fishing, "BUT I THINK IT IS ILLEGAL!" he goes on to say. What he's asking for is advice and if anyone wants to join him in trying to CATCH (with a POLE) these big fish. So settle down and take some time plz before you decide to get pissy with someone. P.S. Also being new to the boards DOESNT MEAN SOMEONE IS STUPID, IRRESPONSIBLE or IGNORANT when it comes to fishing regulations. PLZ stop profiling. Thanks
  4. Hey Bass, I live in hanford and fish lake eastman a ton. If you want someone to go with ya, well im game to give it a shot. What river and pond are you refering to. Is it private? Send me some details and Im good for just about any weekend.

  6. I have a friend that is having problems with his trolling motor and asked if I could post it here for some suggestions. He owns a motorcraft Pro 4300. When turning motor with foot controller it squeeks. Sometimes extra force is needed to turn the motor with the footcontroller. What can he do to fix this problem. Lube? Were and how? Thanks in advance.
  7. Great info gentlemen.... You guys just keep on openning new gateways for me... Keep it up.
  8. Thanks Paul for the detailed photos. It looks like it will handle the job great. What size boat is that? Just for sizing matters, I have a 14'8" boat. Think it will hang off the back a little. Also did you get bigger tires or is that the ones it came with. Thanks...
  9. Thats just like the one I have linked in my first post I believe. Is it really durable, bounce alot on road? I just wanna make sure it is good before I decide to trash mine or sell it. Does it come with straps or some kind of attachment for the rear of the boat?
  10. Well I have a friend that welds, so I'm gonna fix it and go from there. Thanks for the imput.
  11. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=6970&productId=1063&R=1063 Anyone have one of these? Is it decent and sturdy(rugged) ??? Broke a support on my old as dirt trailer this weekend. Wondering if I should go ahead and get this one instead of fixing, breaking, fixing to the point of paying more than this little trailer costs. Just looking for feedback on this. I have 14'8" aluminum v-hull btw. Thanks
  12. I have a newer model mercury 8HP now, but I might be looking for a used 20-25 HP motor. Any ideas were a good place to search for one.

  19. Hello all, I just got my first boat last weekend. It has a MERC 8HP engine. Not sure the year of it, I'm assuming around 00-03 cause it looks like the newer mercury's I have seen on the net. Im new to all this so bare with me plz. What are some neccessary things I MUST do to this motor to ensure a long prospering relationship between us both. ;D Lets say after each season, winterizing and such. What is it you fine anglers do to take care of your pride and joy? Thanks in advance! P.S. Im not really mechanically inclined(but willing to learn anything), live in an apartment and have very little tools.
  20. LoL, well I am enjoying it a ton. Went 2 weekends in a row and caught about 30+ bass. Just gotta keep fighting the wind, skiers and jetskis. Just got back from taking my 7 yr old out. She had a blast.
  21. Hello all, I am new to this site and man have I been missing out. Well anyways, I just purchased a used aluminum boat, my first, and am wondering who the manufacturer is. It says WOLV on it. Is that short for Wolverine? Its a 1969 14'8'' V hull if that helps any. Thanks In advance.
