to start, this is my first baitcaster, my parents found a revo premiere for 160, and figured that that was a good enough price to just go ahead and get me it. it feels like a great reel, but after casting it a while, it seems like the line on the spool isn't as tight as when i see a video with any pro. is that due to the pressure i put from my thumb when i cast? or is there something else i can do to fix this? thank you all for the tips, and I know that you will come through for me as you have so many others on this forum.

Was watching a video the other day from another site, don't know if that's ok to post about, but he talked about power fishing being more to do with how fast the boat was going, and getting more casts in..dunno if that's relevant, but as long as we're talking about "power" fishing, i really like how he defines it.
Anyone know anything about the powerbait swimbaits? i bought a few after remembering reading an article on swimbaits, they're 4" swimbaits, and it seems like i haven't heard anything about the powerbaits?
I'm not sure how big my biggest is by weight, but for length wise, I'm looking for 19 inches, which is master angler in Nebraska. The lake I fish out of about 99% of the time, the biggest I've gotten is 17 3/4 inches. My skills, I hope, have improved enough to be able to get one of those 19 inchers, or bigger, out.
I also had a question about this, though may not be as relevant. I remember reading somewhere that you need to have different ratio's for different methods/bait selections. Anywhere I can get the info for this? Sorry, I just didn't want to start another similar topic.
I'm having some troubles with my new baitcaster..i used to only use spinning tackle and really wanted to become a more serious bass fisherman, so i invested in an abu garcia revo premier..i just need to know how to set it up so that i'm low on birdsnests and how to be the best caster i can be..someone help please..
