  1. KVD is unbelievable. Come on guys, we all know it isn't as easy as he makes it look. He is the best period. He is crazy good.
  2. I have to agree with you on this one ww2farmer! I use these things all of the time and always catch fish. Great baits at a cheap price! wooo hooooo
  3. I think MNGeorge was just having fun with the havco / brekley thing. I'm entrested in the knew baitz two. Brekley seemz 2 put out knew stuph all the time. ;D
  4. Hey booms, yes you can over lubricate which will cause the spool not to rotate properly. What you need to do is carefully disassemble the reel, keeping the schematics in front of you, take the bearings out and soak them in a degreaser, let them dry and only put 1 small drop of reel oil on each one. Also be careful putting grease on the gears, you don't need much on those either. Alot of guys over lube their reels. I've seen this many times. Kevin Davis
  5. Hey lebowski, i've fished Patoka alot and it is becoming a great bass lake. In mid april you will want to flip and pitch to shallow cover especially wood. No particular areas, caught fish all over. Good luck. 8-)
  6. I work hard everyday just like you guys, so I believe if you catch someone stealing your gear you should legally be able to put them in cement shoes and sink them into your favorite fishing hole for use as structure. (At least until they decompose)
  7. I'll have to take some pics. I think I must be as sick as Sean because I have a lot of crap... errrrr necessary equipment too. ;D
  8. Guys, The bait monkey is holding me hostage and says that if I don't spend more than $400 on new equipment by spring he will cut me off. I told the wife I have no choice but to follow his instructions. Looks like brush hogs for me too. Plus many more items.
  9. Hi my name is Kevin and I have a lure buying problem. OK, rods and reels too. Just when I think I have everything, I see something else I must have. Now that it is winter, I have been looking through all of my stuff and I believe I have enough gear for 20 hardcore bass fisherman to use for the next 30 years. What is that about. But as soon as the new BPS catalog comes out I will be drooling again. I can't stop myself. Help!!!! Ahh, its the only habit I have so its not that bad. Is it?
  10. I've thrown all of the RC series and yes they are very good. BPS usually runs a special on them a couple of times of year for $10.00 or so. If I were you though, I would look at the new XCalibur series of shallow cranks. They look just like LC's and are just as good for $7.00. That's what I'm buying now.
  11. Only guys who want to get in the middle of a drug war. I think we need to wipe out about 100 miles of Mexico near the Texas border so that we can fish the lakes without worry. It's getting crazy down there. Time to clean up the mess >
  12. I've got some motor oil zoom trick worms. Their all mine he he he. 8-)
  13. All brands have had a few clunkers. The only thing I don't like is when there are multiple complaints and a company still says that there is no problem. Seems like all companies are like that now. No wonder our economy is in the toilet. I would be a very loyal customer to any company that stands up and says yes we made some mistakes but we will take care of them. As far as reels, I believe you get what you pay for. Anything under $50 bucks usually has inferior parts. :'(
  14. I also like the Suffix brands. I am a crankbait throwing fool and their cranking line is outstanding. Very limp and very strong. This will be the only line on my crankbait reels. It is a little more dense like fluorocarbon so it lets the bait dive easily. I do like the yozuri hybrid for spinning gear. 8-)
  15. I've seen them in my local tackle store but I'm not buying any more DT's because I have had problems with the lips breaking when hitting stumps or rocks. I've broken 5 and I fish the exact same way with Bombers and Normans without any problems. I know the lips are thinner on the DT's but they shouldn't be breaking like this. I'm done with them.
  16. I have worked with lead in the past and do understand the possible damaging effects that it can have but to consider this a danger to our lakes and birds is nonsense. It is kind of like PETA who says hunting and fishing should be banned while each PETA member is driving their automobiles which accounts for more animal deaths per year than anything else out there.
  17. It's funny that I bought some of these at BPS and found out a few days later that my local tackle shop has had them for 3 weeks. (Bought 4 more, just can't stand not having more than enough) TW is just now getting them?
  18. yeah count me in as a crankbait junkie. Don't know what it is but gotta have them all. True on the design. Love the look of the square bill bodies though. 8-)
  19. Yeah I hope they do improve the magazine. It has great articles but they need more in each issue.
  20. Hey five bass, Don't you think they will sell like crazy if they come out with the same in deep diving versions?
  21. And Dan K, you are lucky you don't have to deal with the "hard water". I'm a warm water fisherman. (As long as it is above freezing that is)

  24. Yeah Raul, I have enough equipment to sort through to last through a few winters I think. Wife says I have to much but we guys know that there is no such thing as too much fishing equipment. Women don't understand it is an addiction. Got to have all of the new stuff you know.
