had one buzz me within 10' so i took off after him and caught him as he pulled in to his dock. he looked abouted 15 years old so as i'm letting him have it his mom came out and wondering what the h was going on. when i got telling her the way i was exactly feeling she grabbed her son by the ear and was dragging him up to the house. i could here her saying wait till your dad gets home lol made me feel a little happier : think the kid thought i was going to beat him because he was shaking pretty good ;D zimmy

WELL THOUGHT I WOULD THROW OUT MY 2 CENTS. I HAVE HAD 6 TOYOTA VEHICLES IN THE LAST 20 YEARS AND AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THERE ISN'T A VEHICLE OUT THERE BUILT BETTER ! I BOUGHT MY FIRST 88 TOYOTA SR 5 4 CYLINDER AN RAN IT TO 215,000 MILES NEVER TOUCHED IT . BOUGHT A NEW 1995 TOYOTA SR5 WITH 6 CYLINDER NEVER TOUCHED IT , MY BUDDY SLILL HAS IT WITH 200,000 MILES ON IT . BOUGHT A 2003 TOYOTA TUDRA WITH V8 AND IT WAS A GREAT TRUCK SOLD IT A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO WITH 80,000 ON IT. NOW IT BOUGHT A 2008 TOYOTA TUNDRA WITH THE 5.7 LITER IN IT. WOW I LOVE THIS TRUCK. 381 HORSE WITH 401 FT LBS TORQUE AND A 6 SPEED TRANSMISSION . I HAD THE TOW PACKAGE AND TRAMISSION COOLER ORDERED WITH 4.30 REAR END WITH THE SIX SPEED TRANSMISSION AT 65 MPH IT RUNS ABOUT 1800 RPM . PULLED THE 26' ERIE BOAT WITH IT THE OTHER DAY AND MAN IT WASN'T EVEN SWEATING. THE BRAKING ON THE TRUCK IS GREAT. PULLING MY 21' BASS BOAT THE TRUCK DOESN'T EVEN KNOW ITS BACK THERE . I HAVE ABOUT EVERY OPTION ON THE TRUCK AVAILABLE INCLUDING BACK UP CAMERA, GOT TIRED OF DINGING UP MY BUMPER HOOKING UP THE BOAT . > WITH THE REBATE, TAX IN PRICE WAS 33,500.00 DROVE THE CHEVY SILVERADO AND ITS A NICE TRUCK BUT THE TOYOTA SEEMED TO BE A BETTER HANDLING TRUCK ALL AROUND. PLUS THE TOY WAS CHEAPER. MY WIFE HAS HAD A CAMERY AND A FORERUNNER AND THE SERVICE FROM MY TOYOTA DEALER HAS BEEN GREAT . ALL IN ALL I HAVE'NT FOUND ANYTHING BETTER OR MORE RELIABLE THAN TOYOTA. THE BEST THING HAS BEEN THAT WHEN I SELL THE TOYOTAS THE RESALE VALUE IS ALWAYS GOOD . ZIMMY

WELL WENT OUT SATURDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME FISHING . MAN IT WAS GREAT TO BE OUT AFTER THIS WINTER ! WE LAUNCHED OUT OF NEW BUFFALO AND TROLLED OUTSIDE OF THE RIVER ENTRANCE IN 8 TO 20' OF WATER . WE ENDED UP WITH 16 HOOK UPS AND LANDED 8 NICE COHOS . WE WERE USING REEF RUNNER RIP STICKS AND SMITHWICKS RUNNING IN THE 6' TO 12' RANGE . ALL IN ALL WAS A GREAT DAY AND IT SURE WAS NICE GETTING A LITTLE SUNBURN . ZIMMY

WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE WAS OUT FISHING LAKE MICHIGAN BY ST JOE ,BENTON HARBOR FOR BROWNS AN COHOS. DON'T KNOW IF ANY REPORTS ABOUT ANYONE CATCHING ANY ? THOUGHT MAYBE ABOUT GOING OUY AND TROLLING FOR SOME ZIMMY

well i'm back from lake amistad and wow what a lake the weather couldn't have been better. mostly in the 70s. did manage to get a nice sunburn. water temps in the mid 50s. since i rented a boat an didn't have a guide it took me a little bit to figure out the lake. there is a lot of underwater brush, stumps and rock points . the most sucsess i had was fishing a 10" berkley texas rigged in the 10 to 20' range. in around the stumps and brush on points with deeper water close by. watermelon or purple seemed to work well. the one morning it was cloudy then i did catch some in 2 to 8" range on slow rolling spinnerbaits. the best part was this winter i started to make my own spinnerbaits and caught a 4lb bass on it 8-) i caught a lot of bass in the 2 to 4lb range. i didn't catch anything huge but did have a lot of fun . the water is really clear and you can see down 10' or more with good polarized glasses. i stayed at the amistad resort, nice place with very accomidating people. the guys at the marina were very freindly and helpful. it appeared that most of the bass were staging and gettin ready for the spawn. i flew in to san antonio and drove down to amistad. overall a very good trip and would go again in a heart beat 8-) wasn't very happy to come back to indiana :'( zimmy

ITS NOT WHAT I CAUGHT BUT STILL FUNNY. MY BUBBY AND I WERE FISHING AND THIS DUCK CAME BY AND EVERY TIME MY BUDDY WOULD YELL AFLAC THE DUCK WOULD QUACK BACK. I THINK THIS ticked THE DUCK OFF BECAUSE WHEN MY BUDDY TURNED HIS BACK AND BENT OVER TO TIE A LURE ON THE DUCK JUMPED UP ON THE BOAT AND GRABBED A BITE OF HIS UNDERWEAR THAT WAS HANGING OUT I NEARLY FELL OFF THE BOAT LAUGHING THE LOOK ON HIS FACE WAS PRICELESS

WELL I BOOKED THE AIRLINE TICKETS , RENTED THE BOAT AND NOW I'M GOING TO LAKE AMISTAD. I FIGURED A COUPLE DAYS OF SOAKING UP SOME WARM TEXAS SUN WOULD BE GOOD FOR THE COLD WEATHER BLUES. PLUS I FIGURED IF I CATCH A COUPLE BASS THAT WILL MAKE THE TRIP WORTH IT. SO IF THERE IS ANYONE WITH SOME GOOD TIPS FOR CATCHING THOSE LM BASS IT WOULD HELP ME ALOT. I HEAR IT IS A PRETTY CLEAR LAKE? WHAT ABOUT VEGITATION , STUMPS OR ROCKS. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO FISH THIS EARLY FOR THEM DOWN THERE ? THANKS ZIMMY 8-)
