  1. :)Thanks for all the info guys. Merry Christmas!! SMIB
  2. I'm looking to get a 20' foot Triton in the 1998 to 2000 year models. I was wondering how they handle and how its reliability has been to those of you that own them. Thanks for your time.
  3. Just my 2 cents but this time of the year (Oct thru Jan) you can find some really good deals on used boats. There are alot of nice looking 20 rigs out there for 13,000 or less. I agree with Madhouse, don't go crazy with your hard earned money. Punch in "used bass boats" on google or yahoo and I think you'll find something you'll be very happy with, I did.
  4. My back deck is enormous. I ordered it with a deck extension which folds over the rear seats. Three people can lay out back there. Also my live wells are bigger than some bass boats that I have seen. SMIB
  5. I've had one since '92, which I bought new. It's an Astro, which is sister to the Procraft. I've fished monthly tournaments in it and done well. I've also taken the family out in it and have enjoyed the boat. Because they are deep hulled (mine is an 18 FSX), it has a real nice ride and is super in rough water. It does have limitations in fishing. I've had to get suction cup straps to put on the windshields to hold my rods. This works well until you get in some rough water and they start to bounce around. Overall, I've liked the boat but the short front deck causes some problems. If you've ever had a bass boat with a big deck you may not like it. For the family and just fun fishing it can't be beat. 6. One of the quickest ways to check if you have a bad ground is to make up a ground wire with 2 alligator clips. Connect one wire to your truck bumper and the other to the boat trailer. If all the lights then work, you know you have a bad ground. I carry this ground wire with me all the time. Older boat trailers are notorious for having ground problems.
  7. I've had the same motorguide since '92. All I've replaced is the 12/24 volt switch. Motorguide is fine by me
  8. I've fished out of an Astro 18FSX since it was new in '92 and am finially lookin' for a boat with a front deck like an aircraft carrier. My Astro has been an out standing boat. Found an Astro F-20 and was wondering if I could get any pros/cons on it or the 225 high performance merc on the back of it. Thanks
